Frosted N’ Filled Bakery — Restaurant in Dubuque

While the establishment itself is cute on the outside and warm and cozy on the inside, I'm not a huge fan. Their cupcakes R indeed good, but their cheesecakes leave a bit 2 B desired. They're ALL basically just a boring, plain, basic, generic cheesecake with the various flavors coming in to play as the TOPPINGS. If U eat the toppings off first, nothing left except a decent plain cheesecake. While their offerings R delicious, their customer service is lackadaisical at best and beyond ridiculously horrible at worst. 4 separate times I have left messages on their FB page that they do their advertising of their offerings on the specific days that they're opened, as they have only a few days that they're open during the week with only a few specific hours on those actual days. So we live quite a ways away. In another state actually. Wisconsin. And it's 45 minutes each way 2 get to their shop. So I've asked various questions like availability, prices, possibilities of special ordering a whole cheesecake or quite a few cupcakes at one time or inquiring about the various individual meals that they offer for take out on occasions. Bc, not only do we live 45 minutes away, I'm an older person with excruciating arthritis and in need of a total of 8 joint replacement surgeries in the next 2 years or so. So I really don't go any place unless I'm completely positive that whoever or wherever I'm going to positively has what I want and need. Yet, I NEVER hear back from them or get any answers 2 my questions. Which is really 2 bad for them as our family is always needing something for a family celebration, occasion or holiday. Then there's always the parties and get togethers we R going to A LOT. And, as far as I'm concerned, U can have the best products abd offerings around, but if your customer service is lacking or subpar, U absolutely do not have a decent business or service. If I could I would give them 0 stars. I went in 5 months before graduation to let them know I will be ordering they said I needed to place a order online and that is the only way to place an order. I placed my order 2 weeks in advance, like they told me to do. I went in to confirm my order and they say no they never got and were very ignorant about the whole situating saying it was basically our fault even though it was their website that doesn’t work. We were supposed to get a message saying they are too busy when we placed our order but never received one. Apparently they are too busy to make one cheesecake. They must not value their customers. They refused to take responsibility for their stupidity, so we are stuck a week before graduation trying to find cheesecake for a grad party. I will never recommend this bakery to...

We ordered 150 plus cupcakes for our wedding in early August and they were amazing. We received many compliments on the cupcakes and noticed people running back for more. The reason I am not giving a 5 star review is because we found it a bit difficult to communicate with the store admin to confirm / send us an invoice that they could fill our order. We placed an order a month ahead of our wedding and had to call / follow up multiple times to ensure they could make it happen.
