We were shopping and my husband struck up a conversation with one of the workers and she told us about Moracco's Supper Club. She had great memories as a child eating there with her family. You will need to make a reservation. The restaurant was in the middle of a residential area. There is plenty of parking. Your first walk in to a coat room which leads right into a crowded bar. The hostess was across the room but we were not sure if we should go over to where she was or stay put. After a short wait, she come up to us and we were seated. We were seated at a corner table. There was another table next to where we were sitting. The tables are nicely decorated with linen tablecloths and a lit was candle. Jim ordered the New York Strip and I got the Shrimp Scampi. Our waitress brought out a personal size loaf of freshly baked bread with whipped butter, a cracker basket and small containers of ham salad, egg salad and cheese sauce. We did not order this but it was standard for all tables. The food was delicious and we did not have room for dessert. I didn't particularly like the fact that we had to ask the table next to us to get up from their dinner so I could get out from the corner. I think they could utilize their space better for the dining room by taking out a short wall to open up the dining area we were in. Also I think the coat room can be repurposed and use it in a better way. It just looks like wasted space that could be reworked. I am not a professional decorator or general contractor but it is just some opinions I have. Overall, I thought it was a nice place to eat but it did not have the Wow factor to drive to back to Dubuque and eat there again.

We have lived in Dubuque for 6 years but the first time eating here. The restaurant was busy, but we were also seated with no wait. Our waitress was great. She was honest with suggestions ( telling us what she thought looked good that night and what didn’t). I had the chicken and my husband had the ribeye. The homemade bread was delicious and they brought out all these little spreads to eat with crackers. I had a salad with homemade blue cheese dressing and that was also delicious! I will most certainly be eating here again!

Quaint Supper Club vibe. Nice thick cuts of prime rib, fluffy baked potatoes, crisp salads, warm bread and a trio of spreads to savor. Surprise dessert-ice ceam drinks feature grasshoppers, & pink squirrels. Only negative is we were enjoying an anniversary dinner and felt a bit rushed to vacate our table..

Had several dirty pieces of Silverware and glasses. Their salt and pepper shakers were extremely sticky and nasty. Their crackers container on the table was a metal server. It was dirty, sticky, full of unidentifiable food pieces and greasy. Extremely nasty. Out of 3 salads, 2 had slimy pieces of Lettuce. My son's beef tips were delicious, but the # of pieces of beef were negligible. But they were extremely tender and flavorful. My husband and I both got their scallops. For some reason, they were completely different from a few months ago. They had grit and sand in them, they were not nearly as sweet as the first time, some of them were a bit on the tough side. We both got them broiled. Both servings had an absolute ungodly amount of paprika on them. And for some inane reason, they were served with tarter sauce instead of cocktail sauce. We asked for lemons and drawn butter. The waitress seemed miffed and put out over our request. We were there on a Tuesday night, and they really weren't that busy that night, compared to a weekend night. The scallops were barely warm at all when we got them. They had to have been sitting in the kitchen for a bit b4 we got them. The drawn butter was not even warm either, much less hot. And the candle we got was a tiny, melted down one, so the butter never even got warm from the candle either. Very disappointing. The baked potato was excellent as was the hashbrowns with cheese. Their salads have gotten smaller, but their ranch and their Italian dressings R excellent, as is their cheese spread, the bread U get, their meat spread and their liver spread. While we weren't super impressed with the meal, I wouldn't say we will never B back there. We know what they R capable of and will give them another chance in the future. Hopefully, they will do better next time and will have rectified their...

Awesome restaurant, I enjoyed the way the bar is cheerful , don’t think they ever had a Black man there, under tone jokes with one of the bartenders and a guess, however the guy serving me was very professional , my waitress was very professional . The person bringing me my food seem perturbed that I was there , even tho she tried maintaining her herself as she dropped my sides on the table. I have lived all over the world more so over seas then here , and I have never felt what I felt and had the looks as I had there , the Steak and food was perfect, but the Dairy Queen comments and didn’t bring my gun comments were unsettling, even tho I was told don’t pay attention to the conversation by a guess , I get it I wasn’t welcomed there , I speak four languages , have a great job make plenty of money and we are in 2024 and we still have to deal with personal views of race , the greeter was extremely pleasant so to those visiting this restaurant it is fine dinning , which I love it is an awesome place to enjoy the setting, the service was A-1 the drinks were first class, the food was served hot and flavorful, I do recommend this place I just never experience this in a fine dinning restaurant. I am sadden by this . I was told what a awesome Place it was and how good the food is. And I agree 100%…. I wish them them the best of luck . It’s a HIT...
