Union Station Cafe — Restaurant in Dugger

It was mediocre at best. I loved the atmosphere! Our waiter was very friendly. But it was very hot outside and it was warm in the cafe. We ordered and it took quite some time for our food to arrive. While we waited our waiter never came over once to check on our drinks or us. In fact, other people came in, ordered, got their food, ate, paid and left before we ever got our ticket! When our food came it was fresh and hot. However, our onion rings were under cooked and doughy. My burger had blue cheese, which is hard to get right so I will give them the benefit of the doubt there. You must have good quality blue cheese because it will either taste like a delicious sharp cheese or a moldy, musty closet. Theirs was the latter. The rest of the ingredients were fresh and delicious. I will go back one more time perhaps because I could sense the potential for something great there and they may have been having an off day. But if it's like that again it will be getting a thumbs...

The breakfast offerings are standard and well prepared. The item I keep going back for is the country fried tenderloin. I've had it on several occasions and it's always perfectly cooked, tender, and juicy. Paired with any of the potato offerings (the tots are a nice change from norms) and a side salad (to get you started quickly if you're really hungry) I don't think it can be beat. Prior to that discovery I tried a few other menu items and all were good but nothing compares to that tenderloin dinner, not to be confused with the giant tenderloin sandwich which is also btw a good choice. :) The prices are reasonable, often crowded, but easy to get quick seating in off peak hours. This place does a lot of business so expect a few minutes of waiting if you arrive at popular dining hours. All we have ever been for is breakfast, but it's always amazing. The staff is awesome. Always clean and food always fast and spot on.

Update. This place has really changed alot last few months. Food and service are completely different and not in a good way. We went there this morning for breakfast. Both our meals had scrambled eggs. Which had a very sour milk flavor. Then I tried my French toast same awful sour taste. Could not eat any of my meal besides the 2 sausage patties. My wife's meal was ruined with the sour taste from the eggs being mixed in. So from two meals we ate a biscuit and sausage patties. Told the waitress, she told the kitchen they said milk don't expire untill tomorrow and continued to use. We was charged for two meals that was made with spoiled milk. We will not...
