Village Pizza & Pub — Restaurant in Dundee Township

We went here on Mother’s Day because we’ve been wanting to check it out since we’ve heard good things, unfortunately our experience was not as we hoped. It was very slow, maybe 30% occupancy, around 5pm. We were seated and when we gave our drink orders we also ordered the calamari. I ordered a cocktail and everyone else ordered pop. Well they all got their drinks, calamari came out, and then it was finished and still I had no drink, not even a water was offered. Calamari was ok, it was meaty so that was a plus but the dipping sauce was lackluster. I had to flag down the waitress to tell her to just cancel the cocktail and bring me a coke instead since we had already been there for a good 30 minutes at that point. She came back with the pop and cocktail but I didn’t want it at that point so she took it back and the manager removed it from the bill. We ordered the bbq chicken pizza to share. The chicken on the pizza tasted like 3 day old chicken. We all literally removed the cheese from the dough and peeled off all the chicken from each slice. Waitress came 15 minutes after the pizza was delivered to see how everything was and I said not good but all she said was “oh”. Unfortunate to have such a crappy experience, especially on Mother’s Day. Definitely not going back. PSA: Don’t order the bbq...

I have been going here since I was a preteen tonight a boy by the name of Joe was the bartender and I have known one owner my whole life and the other since they 1st opened ....I went in sat at the bar the bartender Joe passed me several times and helped others so when he started to wash some glasses I asked ....in a nice way "am I going to get service " he replied yes and took my drink order ...a sprite....then when approached with my sprite he asked for my food order a double decker pizza with pepperoni and an order of mozzarella cheese sticks then proceeded to the kitchen came back and said he would not service me because I was "standoffish" with him I asked to speak with Marcie first he replied she is not here ok how about Mike he replied he is not here either naturally I was upset because of his lack of customer service skills and as a lifelong friend of one of the owners I was shocked and upset of how either Mike or Marcie has this kind of person working for them ....in closing if Joe is working here I suggest NEVER TO GO HERE as he is a arrogant little boy who should stick to baseball at E C C and leave the customer service...

Tonight we went out to eat with 9 people. The food and service were amazing, but that actually isn’t even the reason I’m leaving this review. This is the first time my autistic son has been out to eat for this length of time. I felt this restaurant was super laid back and a great family atmosphere. They have an are with claw machines for the kids to try out and get up while they wait for their food. I feel like there aren’t many restaurants anymore like this and it was a game changer for us. It would definitely have me going back to go out eat there again because of it. Thank you for having such a wonderful place for families to...
