I was pleased to find this restaurant in a remote area of Tennessee. It is a very welcoming and cozy spot to enjoy some southern comfort foods. The service was top notch. I had a great waitress, although I cannot remember her name I ordered the chili dogs and a side of onion rings. Beans do not belong in chili to be garnished on the hotdogs. Any good chili dog does not have beans on it. Aside from that, they were all beef hotdogs, and we priced a very good value. The onion rings were a typical beer batter, fried to a crispy golden brown. The tables and interior of the restaurant where kept nice and clean. I enjoyed the front porch with a couple of rocking chairs.

First time there. Small and cozy with a Western vibe. I ordered the John Wayne Burger and 6 wings(Nashville Hot) with Ranch dip. While not listed on the menu I also ordered a slice of chocolate cake. Service was great and they refill your coffee. The food was good, especially the wings but I may switch to Buffalo sauce when I return. I recommend them for a nice family lunch. EDIT: I have become a regular here. Omelets are awesome. Buffalo wings are fantastic.

In the area for a wedding and looking for local places to grub. Found The Southern Oven and this is the spot for great food. The people and staff were super friendly. The food was on point. Best biscuits and gravy I've had in a long while. Plenty to choose from in the breakfast and lunch menus. The atmosphere was just what you'd want from a country kitchen.

Wish I could tell you how the food was but i didn’t even get to that point. Me and my girlfriend came over to this area for a job. We finished the job around 11 am so we figured we would head to a local small country restaurant.(hence normally they’re the best restaurants to go to for quality and typically service too). Oh how wrong I was šŸ˜‚ I got seated and everything was going as planned. They brought our drinks and took our order. My girlfriend and I ordered the 8 oz sirloin with 2 sides for 14.99 a piece. She chose a side salad and a baked potato I chose fries and baked beans. We also got an appetizer of mozzarella sticks. 20+ minutes of waiting.Everyone in there had their food before we walked in and the only table left without any food on their table was me and my girlfriend.after the 20+ minutes they FINALLY delivered a salad to our table. At this point I’m extremely irritated but I have patience so I wait a little longer thinking we have to be next right ? WRONG a local they knew, came in, and ordered a double burger and a drink. It was out in 5 minutes. Need I remind you I haven’t even gotten the mozzarella sticks at this point of 30+ minutes waiting. I chose to pay for our drinks and just say forget the rest of the food after waiting almost an hour for any food. NOT TO MENTION they didn’t refill my drink not ONE time šŸ˜‚ and I was the table DIRECTLY beside of where the employees and workers come out the door. This place was an entire joke. I wouldn’t recommend even bothering your time with walking in the door unless you got about an hour of waiting free time! Tragic. 10 dollars for 2 drinks and a side salad that my girlfriend said wasn’t even good by...

I couldn’t rate the food because they didn’t serve us any. We came in around 10:30am and they asked us what we wanted to drink. We got coffee and a RC. She hands us the menu after serving us our drinks and we ask for the breakfast menu as this one only had dinner and lunch food. She says they don’t serve breakfast now so we looked through the menu looking for something that wasn’t what we wanted, as we googled breakfast and this is what we came up with. After her asking us 3 times if we were ready to order(there was one other table with about 10 local men sitting and eating so it’s not like she was in a hurry but she seemed like it. ) I ordered the 8oz ribeye steak and she says they don’t have that. Well I’m not sure if they are trying not to serve us or what at this point. It’s so strange. It’s also odd to be sitting basically empty of patrons and to refuse to make breakfast … I mean is it really that hard to make some eggs, biscuits and gravy?? The server didn’t seem to mind that she wasn’t helping us, so she must do pretty well with tips from the regulars I would guess. Wished we could have about the food but...

We searched high and low for this place, since reception was bad, we loaded the address into Ford map, and it sent us 11 minutes away... Google maps got us there when we got signal.

The place looks like an old inn, and the inside is stacked with walls of yellow wood. It's a seat yourself diner. The waiter was really nice and fun to talk to.

The food! I ordered 6 wings, and a chicken bacon ranch sandwich, and the fiancee ordered the chicken tender plate with corn fritters and loaded tato. We also got an ice cream cone with 2 chocolate scoops. It was like 19$!!!!! The food was excellent. It was better than some of the hype train restaurants back home. The water was great, the tea was a little too sweet. This place is a terrific establishment to go to after a...
