Pokeweed Creek — Restaurant in Durand

Hidden Gem located in Harris County, Ga that’s a must try. Me and the family were accustom to driving back into the city to wait in long lines to pay our hard earned money for mediocre food and poor customer service. With inflation and the rising cost of dining out we had just conceded. Until we heard about this restaurant and decided to give it a try.

The kids meal burgers and home made fries were hearty and delicious. I tried the steak and frites, after I looked over to the table next to me as their food was coming out and it was an immediate attraction. Which exceeded my expectations the meat was tender and flavored just right, layered overtop of the fries with a sauce that I couldn’t resist. Despite trying keep cholesterol levels down, its atop my list of cheat day meals for sure now. The Lima beans were delicious just as the waitress said they would be. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming.

We will surely be back during the week to try their weekly menu additions. Fully embracing the County and all it has to offer, I would drive from the City just to dine here. I was shocked that every table wasn’t seated on a Friday night with the flavorful taste and food service provided. Our families go to restaurant from now on and will shout it to the moon as...

We were looking for a new restaurant as we were riding around and BOOM !!! We find this one ! So glad we did because it was only 30 min down the road and it was EXCELLENT! There is nothing to say bad about this place. From the friendly and attentive staff, chef, and amazing server to the Loaded Taters.. so tender the burnt ends would literally melt in your mouth with the melted Gouda cheese seasoned fries and sweet and tangy Barbeque sauce ! The Ribeye was seasoned and cooked PERFECTLY! OMG my husband couldn't get enough of the flavorful collard greens either! Since I don't eat a lot of red meat I substituted chicken to the Black and Blue burger ..and they were very accommodating..you are talking about a juicy seasoned chicken breast .. so good! Instead of fries a got a Caesar salad. To top it off .. a piece of homemade moist Shamrock Velvet cake! All in all we will definitely be back ! Don't forget to ask about there daily specials .. Grilled sea bass...

Came here twice now for the first time...lol . forgot to put up my review. Really glad we found this place while riding along! Staff was really nice! We had loaded taters, ceaser salad, surf and turf sandwich, pork chops and mashed potatoes.....first time artichoke dip, smack n cheese burger and fresh cut fries. I luv they have Pepsi products cuz I can always get a tasty mountain dew! Food is really good! The barbecue on the loaded fries with the cheese is so tasty...but be prepared to be full even before the meal comes...lol. Pork chops were juicy and well seasoned. Smack burger had so much Mac n cheese I had enough to make a side and was super extra cheesy. The artichoke dip was delicious with fried artichoke pieces on top! We will definitely be...
