Nice Italian deli with basic fresh options and lots of shelf and frozen options that are either imported or made from scratch. We bought items to make a sandwich and took it home and ate it right away. DO NOT PASS UP THE TOMATO FOCACCIA. It reminded me of some the excellent sandwiches I would get in Chicago. We will definitely buy one every single time we stop in. I was tempted to try one of their fresh desserts but at $5 each I couldn't pull the trigger. (Maybe I'm just ignorant to the going rate as I rarely buy fresh to go desserts.) But I'm sure they would have been delicious as they looked it! Owner (I'm assuming, or manager but definitely got the owner vibe) was super kind. We definitely come back to local places that treat you like family!

I heard good things about this deli. I love Italian grocery stores. I got the wise guy sub and the canoli. It was great. Glad to see Illinois isn't the only place with good Italian markets. I did a review for my YouTube channel "Mailman Nick"

Everything here is amazing, from the products, to the quality of the food, and the friendliness of the staff! The sandwiches were fresh and delicious and the cannoli is OUT OF THIS WORLD!! Don't pass by this place, stop in today!!

Called in order for two beef sandwiches. Arrived to pick them up and was told it was $26+. Asked how could it be that price when the sandwiches are $9.50 each... employee points to a small sign stating there is now a $2 surcharge per sandwich for increased costs. Reluctantly completed the purchase and brought them home. Opened the sandwich to find about 3 large peppers and about 2 slices of meat. Absolutely shocked at the lack of meat and exorbitant prices. I like to support local businesses but the quality was poor and prices extremely high. Would not recommend and will not be back.

Re: reply from owner

First off, the sandwich is $11.50 (with upcharge) and then you charge for peppers which puts it over $12, so after tax the two sandwiches were $26 please point out the untrue portion of my review. Next, as you can see in the picture there is barely any meat on the sandwich, but you don't address that. Lastly, I don't feel you understand the true essence of how a review works. You provided a service/product and I get to express my opinion of said service/product.... no hiding involved. The fact that you decide to attack me and my review instead of addressing the facts or trying to remedy the situation speaks volumes. I stand behind my review as it is...

This is one of the best Italian places in the area- sit down restaurants included. It is everything you want from an Italian deli- authentic, high quality, extremely clean- and the staff is OUTSTANDING. Consistently wonderful service from nice individuals, the owner has even helped me out to my car without asking for assistance. Their sandwiches are absolutely phenomenal. I can't rave about them enough- I drool thinking of their caprese panini. Their homemade Italian beef..🤤.. fabulous, and their sausage is fresh and well seasoned. The meats and salads in their deli case are very good, and they have a cheese-filled puff pastry that I could eat 10 of. Their own line of frozen ravioli is the best I've ever had in my own home, not exaggerating, and I also enjoy their dipping oil. It can seem a little pricey, but what isn't these days, and I'd much rather spend my money on quality items. If you are a lover of Italian food, and are looking for authenticity I highly recommend making a...

I been to this place and let me tell you this is a diamond in the rough. This is a must ! If you like Italian food and you can appreciate quality Italian food and deli this is it . Tony and his staff are the best . You feel the vibe of welcome the minute you walk in the door. The food is excellent like eating homemade . The store portion is like browsing thru an emporium of all Authentic products , from olives , noodles , sauces , anything your taste buds can desire when it come to Italian . The meatball sandwiches are delicious . Out of this world. Can't say enough good about this place it is a brand new store . very clean and very well organized. This guy Tony knows the "BIZ". It took me 40 mins. from Chicago to get there and if I had the time, I would go everyday if I could that's how good it is ! I definitely will be back ! Tony's Italian Deli keep up the good job ....
