I love this place and their food is awesome. I always get the buffet because they have such a great variety of foods to choose from. The place is full every time me and my family visits, but we never have a long wait because we always call ahead. If you haven't eaten there before, you really should try it.
Fast forward to a few months ago (May)when my nephew graduated from college and my family wanted to stop for something to eat. All of us could not get there at the same time because we were in different vehicles, and traffic was horrible trying to leave the graduation. When the rest of us finally made it there, my mother (who is elderly) had been waiting in line so long that she had to sit down. The young lady had told my family that were waiting that they could not be seated until ALL of the party arrived. We have eaten there before and never had a problem with this issue. We were always told where our party was seated; but we were told that this is their policy on the weekend. When my sister told them that we have been there on the weekend before and never had to wait for the entire party, (plus it was not posted) we were told again it was their policy. When we asked for a manager, some young lady came out and was not helpful, but very rude and unprofessional. She did not apologize to us for having to wait, she did not take us to an area that would accommodate us; she was just rude and unapologetic. While all of this was taking place, we say several people walk in to join their parties who had already been seated. When we asked about that, the manager and the young ladies standing around (waitresses, I assume) only appeared indifferent. My family left AFTER we told the manager that we were going to give them a bad review. My big family went to another restaurant and spent a lot of money there. No one in my family has been back to Grecian's since that day and we have no...
Read moreThe food and service here is FANTASTIC! Now I love old people and always respect them. I’ll warn you now. The only downfall is battling all the senior citizens in the buffet line. They get there 30 minutes before they even open and line up outside ready to cause chaos. Whatever direction your going on the buffet line they’re going the opposite. If your looking to eat some sauerkraut and weenies don’t bother, they’ve picked the weenies clean out of it. Looking for some chicken legs? Better run up there as soon as they come out. They will pick up every single wing and leg in the tray and carefully examine each one to make sure that it’s the best piece of chicken for them to devour. When they get boxed in they panic and just use the same spoon to reach in other food trays. If the nursing home is anything like this I pray I don’t live long enough to see it. Rules don’t apply to the old in the place neither does age. In here if you’re handicapped you’re ready to Throw down with the best of em over a Salisbury steak. Mike Tyson himself wouldn’t dare come between a 4ft tall 80 year old woman and her extra sugarcoated sweet corn! I LOVE the food but it’s best for everyone to wait until their bed time...
Read moreI’m currently still eating my lunch while leaving this review. I was so impressed with my lunch that I couldn’t wait to leave and then leave the review. Wow! I’m from central Florida and just recently moved here. Where I’m from there are thousands of buffets because it being right near Disney. This place kills all of them!!! First the service is amazing! My server is Chloe, she’s amazing and so friendly. I’m a server myself at another restaurant so I’m always happy to have great service. Next, the food is absolutely amazing! Everything tastes homemade and it’s hot!!! Usually with buffets a lot of the food is barely Luke warm due to being left out. I’m so impressed with the taste of the food and temperature. Lastly this place is amazingly clean!!! I only get one day off a week and I live about 30 mins away so I come to dyersburg shopping on my day off!!! I will be coming back every day I travel here!!! I’m so happy I found my new...
