The Big House: Eating and Drinking Emporium was a pleasant surprise. Even though the address is listed as Dyersville, the pub is located a few miles northwest of town. If we had not been looking for it we may have missed it completely. We traveled to this area to watch a friend's band perform. From the outside the building appeared very plain and simple. On the inside I was surprised to find a restaurant that looked similar to what I might find in a larger City. Although the area was small it was nicely and decorated with updated furniture and other amenities. It appears to be a local tourist attraction as they had their own items including t-shirts. They have a nice pub-style menu including traditional items such as Burgers and Fries. I particularly enjoyed the fried pickles. The company was pleasant as this appears to be a regular stop for many of the locals. The wait staff was very knowledgeable of their menu and drink items. They were very friendly and did a good job of keeping up with the demands of the patrons. This business is a nice addition to this area and I will definitely go back when in...
