Eagle Lake Family Diner — Restaurant in Eagle Lake

Went there with my friend, we set right beside the station for your beverages waitresses still around talk to each other played with another waitress is baby other customers most likely relatives went and got their own drinks refills on their own we sit at a table just across from the weight station and waitresses stared at us and we had to ask for a refill of her drinks when we finally got our food it was terrible my friend ordered a chicken fried steak it look like a hamburger breaded with the seasoning and cooked beyond recognition I ordered the Salsberry steak same thing I could’ve went home and made it Saulsberry steak from a hamburger myself And would’ve tasted better and want to been dried out the only thing that I actually cared about and light that was on my plate with a green fried tomatoes those were excellent it’s sad that I paid $14 for two meals had to fight to get a refill on my drink which they were like looking right at us and ignored us the whole time took forever to get dried out meat mashed potatoes that tasted like they came literally from a box did not taste good whatsoever I’ve made reconsecrated potatoes they still actually tasted like potatoes these tasted like cardboard how long did you have the box I don’t know people say that this place is great they’re always busy honey I need to start up A restaurant in this town and see what happens my mother could do a better job my eight-year-old granddaughter could do a better job than what is Cook’s did it look like they were more interested in the owners were more interested in taking her grandchildren around and showing them off then they were caring about the food the macaroni and cheese on the steam counter was so dried out you could make up a hockey puck out of it it just did not look appealing whatsoever will not go back hopefully they’ll stay in business because either peoples taste buds are shot or they just give it to me they’ve given up and people just go there because out of loyalty I’m sorry I’m not gonna spend my good hard money on loyalty if the food isn’t good it isn’t good if the atmosphere is in good it isn’t good and your waitresses need to get off their high knees and start l A restaurant in this town and see what happens my mother could do a better job my eight-year-old granddaughter could do a better job than what is Cook’s did it look like they were more interested in the owners were more interested in taking her grandchildren around and showing them off then they were caring about the food the macaroni and cheese on the steam counter was so dried out you could make up a hockey puck out of it it just did not look appealing whatsoever will not go back hopefully they’ll stay in business because either peoples taste buds are shot or they just give it to me they’ve given up and people just go there because out of loyalty I’m sorry I’m not gonna spend my good hard money on loyalty if the food isn’t good it isn’t good if the atmosphere is in good it isn’t good and your waitresses need to get off their I’ll bows and stuff leaning up against the countertop carrion babies around that have no business being in workstations kitchens and where food is prepared and start actually taking care of your customers I shouldn’t have to ask three times to have a refill usually I set my glass at the end of the table we just walked by asked me what I was drinking every filter properly these girls did around looking straight at us we were less than 5 feet away and they couldn’t take the time to come and ask us if we wanted a refill on our drinks really and then you expected to tip on top of that I’m sorry I only tipped when service is good and I’m sorry to say they didn’t get a tip from us and I will not go back again you people want to go here...

First time visit for us when we came in for breakfast. The looks of the restaurant from the outside doesn't do it justice, there is so much room inside the restaurant and outside seating. You do sit close to your neighbor so if you don't like being cozy this may not be the right spot for you. We were a little surprised to see an uncovered buffet of food being dished out (in the lobby when you first walk in and everyone passes) and taken to the tables. We decided to stay and give it a try. The food tool a bit to get to us because some of it had to be made fresh. The service left a lot to be desired. After having time to observe the staff, if we were to return we would probably ask for someone else's section. The waitress we had spoke to us in a condensending way. It was disrespectful and surprising. You could tell she was probably a more seasoned server in this establishment but her customer service lacked kindness and ability to communicate...

We went for breakfast, and for the price and quality of food it was lack luster. For one right off the bat disappointed because they have a buffet line full of breakfast food but you cant touch it, you must order off the menu. Meaning you order and pay for fresh food but you are getting buffet quality food. Which makes for quick service but poor quality food little seasoning, and limited to a rather small amount of it. Now I hear there lunch buffet is better, cant rate off that but I did walk by and it did not look like anything amazing. Customers are your gray haird locals, so if this is your first time here expect and very short, and rude welcome for service. Bathrooms are in very poor condition with broken doors and only cold water to wash your hands gross so maybe try for lunch, I dont recommend it though, this area of Florida has many better...
