Peegeo's — Restaurant in East Bay Township

After passing right by, at 8 o’clock at night due to our GPS not being spot on we were able to locate this place which appeared to be located amongst a bunch of residences. We gather this is a bit of a local watering hole, but it was quite busy for Thursday night. They have an extensive menu, with Mexican, pizza’s, appetizers and SMALL desert menu. I would classify the ambience as sports / outdoorsy and somewhat pub-style which I like. The have a popcorn machine so that you can eat popcorn while you drink. There were several dishes we wanted to try, but we did not get the Firecrackers appetizer that I wanted. We started with the appetizer combo which had potato skins, wings, cheese curds, poppers, and a buffalo dip. I liked the potato skins where my partner did not, because of the potato to skin ratio which I like very little and she likes more. The buffalo dip was great, and the poppers had a nice crispy coating. We couldn’t quite tell what the Mexican wing flavor was, but suspect that it was a frank’s hot sauce base. Our first main course was her choice and it was a HUGE mistake. The Mac Daddy G sandwich is mac & cheese, BBQ sauce, chips and bacon between two pieces of grilled bread. It sound’s interesting because it is. It was not bad in the way it was done, but it is definitely for a selective taste. I ate my half first, and she took one bite and needless to say could not eat it. Not bad in the sense of it was not cooked or anything, just not to our taste. Our second meal was a redeemer with the Chicken Cherry wrap which was excellent and made up for the previous. I really wanted to like this place better. Will I go back Yes is it a five star no. What to be prepared for: definitely not cheap for what you're getting. There's no other restaurant anywhere near so you're going to pay for it. Overall the wings are solid just average, the Mexican dishes thumbs down all the way. Felt like everything was out of a can. The most disappointing for me was the pizza. I don't know what it was about it they weren't bad they looked fantastic maybe it was the sauce I didn't care for but I'm a pizza lover and I just did not love this pizza. Once again would I get it again yes lol it's just not worth what we paid in my opinion. The one thing I didn't like about dining in was that was really dark and honestly not very clean. All the menus had grease all over them the tables were sticky the flooring was gross and it had a smell to it that you could tell it was just dirty. Now it is in my opinion kind of a dive bar so I can look past that if the food was spectacular it just wasn't. It's still worth going to though like I said...

Honestly the only reason I gave this a 4 🌟 rating was the food being so amazing. For clarification first we called from great Wolf Lodge and asked how far the drive was and the lady who answered was very rude and did offer any help other then saying it's across town. I asked how long the drive was roughly to Gage when to leave. Then she irritatingly hung up. I called back placed the order which was quite big about 100$. The food was absolutely fantastic but it was cold by the time we got it according to the time they told us to be there and they didn't give us any napkins, silverware or anything with the meals. The Spud pizza was amazing. Very very good! The wings were the perfect amount of crunch not soft like some places and tasty. Charbroiled a++++.
