EJ's Bar & Bottle Shop — Restaurant in East Bethel

Wish I could give the service less than a star.. the bartender completely snubbed us Saturday night. Not sure what we did, came in with a positive vibe (hadn't even started drinking yet) and watched my friend stand at the bar for over 10 minutes while the bartender gave him pissy remarks anytime he actually managed to get her attention. (No, we weren't being impatient, we had all worked in food service and no it wasnt even very busy..) I'm not a big drinker.. I've been living within walking distance of EJs for over 5 years now and this was my first experience, not to mention I brought company. The bartender smirked at us as we put our coats back on and left. My friends wife said thank you on our way out(the bartender shrugged as if to say meh what ever).. my wife said yes, thank you for nothing and the bartender said in a snotty tone you're very welcome.

Too bad, we're actually really good tippers because we understand the industry, often more times than not the table we occupy is cleaner than when we arrived. We were only looking for a single round of beers and shots to celebrate an occasion.

Its just a little dive bar and its great. You go to these places for generous pours and cheap beers. The crowd is older but theyve all been nice to us when we go there. I'm sure pretentious hipsters can find a place more suitable to their sensibilities. EJs is more about knocking a few beers back; eating a frozen pizza and talking to some friends or playing a game of pool. Oh man!! I got really Lucky on E-Tabs at EJ's Bar & Bottle shop, yesterday, it was my best night of gambling ever, by far!!!
