Michelangelo's Pizza — Restaurant in East Brandywine Township

We recently received a menu in the mail from michealangelo's. We liked that there was a qr code on menu to order from .We have lived in the area for 40+ years, and decided to give them a try . As first time customers were extremely dissatisfied!! We ordered 2 pasta dinners online, spaghetti with sausage, and baked ziti bolognese. I went to go pick up , and the order was delayed. Not a big deal, I don't mind waiting. 10 minutes later Im told they are out of sausage, would I like meatballs instead? I was a little annoyed by this. It's sat ,and you have no sausage ? Fine I'll just go with the meatballs. Of course now my order will take longer, even tho my arrival time was the time we were text for pickup. I'll just use the restroom while I wait. It's out of order with a sign to use the woman's room. Not the cleanest and no paper towels. My food is ready shortly after. Upon opening the containers at the house , my wife and I both looked at the food and said what the heck is this? The spaghetti sauce looked and tasted worse than canned spaghettio,s. Very watery and no flavor. The 2 meatballs were just as bad with no flavor. The ziti with Bolognese was just as bad! The sauce was runny with what seamed to be crushed meatballs. Nothing what so ever resembling a Bolognese. Garlic bread without garlic? Maybe just old pizza crust, not really sure. This was our first try at this place and will certainly be our last!! The menu stated it was under new management. If this is new management, I'm curious how bad was the old? It's unfortunate, but with so many other quality places in the area just as close , there isn't much hope for a place that serves such...

UPDATE: It’s the next day and the online menu is the same one I ordered from with the prices I mentioned. No new menu! These guys RIPPED ME OFF!!

I will NEVER order from Michaelangelo’s Pizza again! Here’s why…looking at their online menu tonight (6/22/19, around 7pm), I decided to order a cheesesteak hoagie ($8.45), French fries ($2.85) and onion rings ($2.85). Total cost $14.15 (plus any tax). When I picked up my order, I was told the total was $19.02. Huh?? When I questioned it, the young man helping me explained that they have a new menu and the fries were now $3.45 (give or take) and the onion rings were about $5.95 (HUGE increase). I replied that those were NOT the published prices. A lady, who I’m assuming was an owner/manager, chimed in and said “Well, we just changed the menu.” This was 7:30pm. No business owner changes their prices mid-shift. It’s done after closing or before opening. I don’t buy that! Anyway, she quickly dismissed me and walked away. Perhaps, she should have addressed the issue instead. Her response was RUDE! You don’t treat people like that! Since there were other folks now waiting, I didn’t want to cause a hold-up for them. So, I paid for my food and left. I checked the website again when I got home. The prices should have been honored! I should have also been treated with some respect. Plus, $19 for a cheesesteak hoagie, fries and onion rings?? Nope! Too expensive! Next time, I’ll go to the new place down the street, Pizza Mia. Man this place use to be so good. We just ordered a pizza and some sandwiches to make an easy Sunday night dinner. We ordered off grub hub to make it easy since then we can get it delivered. After wait nearly an hour for our food, we called in to see what happening since the app says they (Michelangelo’s) is delivering our food shortly. Lady answers the phone and says yeah we don’t have a driver so we can’t deliver! Why have the app saying you can when you clearly can’t!! Ended up driving out to the store since our order has now been sitting there for an hour and they couldn’t even bother to call and say they can’t deliver. Confronted the horrible lady behind the counter and all she could say is it’s basically not her problem. Didn’t even seem to care that they are messing up, seemed like she’s just use to getting told off for their crap service and could care less about the business. Such a joke of a place now!
