Where to begin when I go out with my wife to eat I expect for us to eat together with that being said the service from our waitress was despicable 20 minutes to get our frozen watered down drinks from another waitress mind you who saw them just sitting there after her forth trip to the bar so she brought them over on her 3rd trip past us 10 minutes later I asked her to take out order because the other waitress wasn't coming back so she took out order and put our food in our waitress finally showed back up and said we're all out of roles but I'm bringing you your clam chowder 15 minutes after that she sent my clam chowder in front of me 30 minutes after that she brought a meal out oh my God what a disappointment my fish was burnt and so soggy did it actually dissolved in your mouth and then all you had left was crunchy batter I ask to see the manager we waited 40 minutes to see the manager she came to the table I explain to her about the fish to me it was like they took a frozen piece of fish slapped it in a bucket of water let it thaw out dipped in batter and then threw it in old Oil a man just said it was because the batter was so thickI've tried a lot of fish I've never had to come out like that not fresh fishso after talking to her and explaining to her everything that happened she said I'll take care of this and I'm going to get you a gift certificate so you come back comes back over and slaps a $38 bill back on my table expecting us to pay that and then gave us a $25 gift certificate so to sum it up the service was lousy the food was horrendous and to make this right you decided to charge me for all of that except for my fish and chips the only thing she took off the bill and then you hand me a lousy $25 gift certificate and you want me to come back now I got to tell youthat does not sound like someone who wants my business my wife and I are going to a restaurant to eat together I don't go into a restaurant to watch my wife eat and then pay you for that so needless to say I do not think we will be going back very...
Read moreHow can a restaurant that can seat over 150 people have 12 parking spots?🤔 parked on the street almost 1/4 of a mile away. Not a great start. Place was mildly busy. 6:30 reservations. Very loud inside. Sat in a quiet section. We have a lot of dietary restrictions so we don't eat out much because of it. Told the waitress this and apologized in advance of our ordering we needed to be very careful of our food. She agreed and wrote everything down and made multiple trips to the kitchen to ask questions. She was great. The place got busy. Our quiet room had a big party come in so we had to shift tables. No big deal. Party of about 20 mostly kids under 8. Couldn't hold a conversation with my date at all. And there was live music in the other room to cancel out any quiet so everyone just talked louder 🙄. Our appetizer came no plates or drinks.then drinks came except for my wife's salad that came at the very end of the meal. Main course came it looked great. Screwed up my wife's dinner. She realized it after she started eating it after being reassured it was as she ordered. So loud at this point we where commutative by hand signals. The grill shrimp salad finally arrived at the end.. it had molded blueberries on it about 3 of them and some old wrinkles of skin. Didn't pay or eat that. Bill was 87.00 Used the bathroom the trash was overflowing cob 🕸 in the corners bigger than your head. In my opinion when working in a restaurant if the bathroom is dirty you don't want to see the kitchen 😒 we wanted to try somewhere new after over a year of lock down. We bought a gift certificate during covid to help local restaurants. We should have given it away. We did tip the waitress well. Its not her fault. I told her to find...
Read moreSomeone recently suggested my husband and I try this place for our 8th wedding anniversary and I must say it did not disappoint! We were seated by the window in the quieter part of the restaurant over looking the lake. Gayle, our waitress was amazing, attentive, and funny. I (the picky eater) was able to tweak the food that I ordered to my desired perfection! Side Salad had fresh greens, not iceberg lettuce. I had them hold the tomatoes and onions and add extra cucumbers (which were very fresh and fat!). My husband and I split potato skins and I have to say they are the best potato skins I've ever had! It was like 2 potatoes split in half, not scooped out, very soft inside, skin not over cooked and easy to cut with a knife, perfect!!!! I ordered the Winter Solstice drink (which is more like a summer solstice but whatevs haha) and ended up needing a second it was so sweet with just the right amount of kick! Needless to say this light weight didn't drive home but rode home haha My husband got the baked trio of scallops, haddock, and shrimp with double mashed. I tasted some of his meal and the potatoes were so mouth watering! They tasted fresh out of the garden! I got the shrimp scampi special (no tomatoes) and only was able to eat about 1/3 of it, and took the rest home! Soooooo goooooood! Deserts were to die for! I had the Limoncello cake (mouth wateringly good) and my husband got the Turtle Cheesecake (also great flavor but I'm not a nut person haha). We enjoyed a nice quiet evening together watching boats and birds. I definitely would recommend this place and we will...
