Matt's Breakfast Nook — Restaurant in East Brookfield

This was my first time having breakfast here and it will not be my last. This little place is so cute and quaint. The waitress was so pleasant and the food was delicious. I had two slices of French toast with crispy bacon. Done to perfection. Hubby had homemade hash which he loves eggs potatoes and toast. He was impressed with the hash and everything about the place. Can't wait to try the breakfast grilled cheese. That's next for me. Or one of the homemade breads. Thank you for your perfect hospitality and the best breakfast in a long time. Grateful customer!!

Went in to say for breakfast. The French toast was excellent and the flavor on them was terrific. Cinnamon and warm spices the best. The bacon was perfect. Hubby loves the homemade hash. Thepotatoess are seasoned very nicely. Thank you for such a a quaint little breakfast spot. Other places don't come close !! Son and daughter in law went here yesterday and they absolutely loved the place. The big breakfast that son has was Hugh and it did him in. Had a hard time finishing it. But they raced about it when they got back!! Thank you for the excellent service and great tasting breakfast.

9/25/24 Went into Matt's for a very enjoyable breakfast. It was Soo good. Never had I had a tastier egg . No matter what you want they have it and make it. Thank you to the nicest people ever. Down to earth and very friendly Enjoy your trip to PA. We will be back!!!

Matt's Breakfast Nook has SO MUCH potential... But the servers attitudes need adjustments before that can happen! We sat down and a large group (4+ people) walked in, we offered them the opportunity to take our spot to combine tables and the server yelled, we don't combine tables because our cook can't handle large orders! That was the first issue, then just a little bit later, two people walked in before closing time (11:25am) and they said were closed. You can hear the servers talking in the back about customers and their attitudes just plain suck! Food was your typical diner food, the hashbrowns are just plain inedible, overpowering salt and seasonings. The rest of the food was just "ok". My boyfriend and I were really excited to try somewhere different from our usual breakfast spots. The place looked good, and we were genuinely looking forward to it.

When we arrived, the restaurant was nearly empty — tons of open tables — but we were told there’d be an hour wait. No explanation, no “sorry,” just a flat estimate that didn’t make any sense.

We’re a younger couple, and I have a few facial piercings — which may have had nothing to do with it, but it’s the only thing that stood out. The woman who greeted us didn’t seem particularly happy to see us, and the vibe was not welcoming.
