I have eaten here before, most recently about 3 weeks ago. It was Fish and Chips, my friend Bill had a burger. We ate on the outside deck and it was very good. We were looking forward to another good pub lunch. However, the inside table we sat at had other diners, Ants. (Not immediately noticeable) . Bill wanted a burger with No mayo and I looked forward to a yummy Philly cheese steak. The waitress was obviously new and nervous but for some reason thought she could remember the order. She returned after half an hour to tell me the they did not have any grinders and I could have a regular bun or flatbread.(I just need to point out that a large bakery is 10 minutes away) I stupidly chose a bun, I should have changed the order, but I was zoned into the Philly. The food arrived on wooden cutting boards, Bill, who has Bar/Food experience as a manager was very nervous, explaining that wooden boards are hard to sanitize. My Philly did not look appetizing, the "steak" was a yellowy tan, not many fried onions or peppers, but how would you on a bun?. There was a little evidence of cheese, but I could not identify what kind. (If I was this Chef I would have drenched it in cheese to hold it together and' hide' the ingredients)! I took a bite or two and stopped because it was tasteless but despite that, had a strange back taste. Bills burger had mayo in it, and he can't digest it successfully, so he stopped after trying unsuccessfully to scrape it off. By this time the lack of air conditioning, ants, who really liked both food items, had taken a toll. Bill attempted to politely inform the person at the register, she apologized profusely but deducted one burger. As he paid an ant ran down his arm to prove that issue. I hope that an owner will improve food prep+ and cleanliness. We surely could not be alone in this disappointing experience, there were about a dozen other diners. It could be a landmark Pub in East Hampton, but someone who cares needs to...
Read moreI ate here with my husband, and we ordered some drinks and appetizers. She came back to our table multiple times with refills but we waited 45 minutes and still had no food. My husband asked them and was told that they were looking for the order on their computer. Then the manager came over and barely apologized said it was never entered in the system, and had an attitude with us. At that point we left hungry and disappointed. We will not be returning here.
Edit I forgot to add when I originally posted this that the table next to us was ordering lots of drinks, and the waitress was attentive to them. Their food came out right around the time we ordered our food. Our waitress took our order and never came back to check in on our table and was taking care of the bar so we couldn’t call her over. I assumed that since we didn’t order alcohol she didn’t see our table as much of a priority, unlike the...
Read moreThe evening started out great. What went wrong was my cocktail was awful and ordered something else which was fine. When my dinner arrived it was un edible and it wasn't just me that did not like it. After saying anything about the one meal we didn't see the waitress over 40 min. So we asked another person for the check and that one dish was still on it so we mentioned it. Few min go by the person comes back and said we still have to pay for it because of taking off the one drink that a sip was taking out of it. The dish that was complained about had two bites out it. They say because the sip of drink that was taken off the un edible burnt chicken/potatoes couldn't be taken off. The lady didn't even bother coming back. After 40 minutes we get service from another person. Never seen a business so MONEY HUNGARY to cover bad service . The first person should have said something besides do you want to take...
