West End Grille — Restaurant in East Lackawannock Township

We stopped in for dinner with the entire family on July 26th 2025. Not only was our experience a 10/10 but the food was a knock out. Our server was amazing very attentive even though they were quite busy but it was very UNDERSTANDABLE cause it was a Saturday night.

But there was an incident that happened to the table next to us and honestly the owner and server were calmer than I would have been. Not only did this women smack a glass filled with alcohol out of the owners hands she almost hit my two little sisters and her own child with glass but then claimed the manager threw it at her. If she would have hit my sisters it would have been a whole different game ball for her. The manager remained calm and effectively took care of the issue without incident from his part simply asked them to leave. Of course people now a days can’t just stop and go it had to involve the cops. In the end the order was paid for but still argued till the people walked out.

I not only feel sorry for the server but the Owner as well. They treated us with nothing but respect and went out of there way to make us feel welcome and satisfied with everything. I only wish I got this servers name. Love, if you’re seeing this you were doing great and I’m sorry you had to deal with that.

So, we had a group of 10 people and 4 of us decided to go for the steak. Three of us asked for well-done and one for medium-well. Unfortunately, when the steaks arrived, they were all undercooked - the well-done ones were rare and even the medium-well steak was rare.

On top of that, three of us ordered sweet potatoes that turned out to be raw and uncooked. Two people opted for pasta dishes that ended up being a bit bland. And to make matters worse, one person ordered a fish dinner that took an extra 20 minutes to come out.

When we sent the steaks back, only two of them came back cooked properly. And to add insult to injury, one of the sweet potatoes that was sent out early came back with some spicy seasoning that made it inedible.

The saving grace of the whole experience was our waitress, who really went above and beyond to make our birthday meal special.

Overall, it was a pretty horrible experience and unfortunately, one of our party members ended up leaving hungry because the steaks just couldn't seem to be...

I hate to say it, I really do, but we had a miserable experience. Our group's food was all cold. All of it. One member had to send a potato back three times before it was cooked completely. Soup, cold. Lasagna, cold. When we noted that the food was cold, the manager basically said "interesting..." and left. We never heard back. Our meals were expensive to boot as it was a special menu.

Our server was really rushed and unpleasant. We were clearly a bother to her from the time we sat down. I can't blame her entirely because we had a large party and it was a busy day, but just be nice for Pete's sake. Most of our group ended up feeling sorry for her because of whatever was going on.

I never complain. I ate the cold food because I was hungry and I thought sending it back would just make everything late, and frankly I didn't want to upset our server any more than she was.

Maybe their regular menu is better. Maybe they have a decent bar. I don't know. But I am never going back there...
