Casa de Emanuel — Restaurant in East Liverpool

First off let me say we went for dinner on a Monday at 4:00PM. Very very slow time of day. When we first walked in, the wait staff was too busy giggling and gossiping in the back that the poor bartender had to seat us. As he was seating us the hostess finally comes out and says OH I WOULD OF GOTTEN THAT! We did have a really sweet and attentive waitress though. She was always checking on us and was very prompt with refills. My youngest child ordered a plate of rigatoni with butter. No meat. No sauce. Just buttered noodles. I was charged $7. My son took 1 bite of his grilled chicken and didn't like it. I told the waitress and she didn't offer to get him something else or take 1/2 off his plate on the bill. He didn't even touch the fries. I had the chips and grilled Cajun chicken sandwich. The chips were extremely greasy. They needed drained better. The sandwich was good but for some reason the bun was soggy on the inside. Like the chicken had grease on it. The flavor was spot on though. I also ordered a cheese wheel for an appetizer and it was still cold in the middle. I was sad I didn't get that massive cheese stretch. I just bagged that up and took it home. I would like to return with my fiance for a date night. I just love the pull tab ticket vending machines. I would also love to try another dish without chips or fries. I'm not saying this place is horrible because I feel I just hit it at a bad time. I will be...

We love the food here! This is probably the fifth or sixth time we have been back and we are never disappointed in the food. I love their Diablo sauce on their gnocchi! Tonight we had stuffed banana peppers and they were amazing ! However, as a server myself, I was very disappointed in the service. I ordered a sweet tea with a shot of peach crown on the side. When it came out it was mixed with my tea and no shot on the side. When I asked the server if she would have to pay for it if I sent it back she was very noncommittal and just looked at me. She then asked if I wanted another one and I said absolutely, with the shot on the side please. It was not a big deal to pay for it twice but I was disappointed that she would charge me for her own mistake. And as a server myself, probably at least three times her age, I know how easy it is to be nice. . . to simply smile and be pleasant ~ offer a couple pleasantries when you’re serving food it’s what I pay for when I go out. I rarely complain about service because in these times, I literally never have to. However, being in the business myself, I hold service pretty high on my expectations. A good server can make the restaurants’ experience for me. I’ll ALWAYS return for good food here, but in the future we’ll sit on...

Was highly recommended by friends to eat here. We visited on Friday was myself, my husband and son. We walked in, the hostess was at her station she asked how many and we asked to eat outside. She walked outside came back in walked by us and continued to wrap her silverware. After us a couple came in and asked to be seated outside as well. We were all sitting waiting and another couple came in, a waiter came by and greeted them and started walking them out, I stopped him and told him we have been sitting here for 15 mins, so he immediately sat us, there were 2 tables available outside. The waiter was very nice, he took our order brought our drinks and appetizer of soup. We were waiting for our main dinner and waiting and waiting!! We were saying this better be the best Italian food we ever had, we got our food 40 minutes later. We were seeing bread and rolls other customers were getting we could have eaten some of those during our 40 minute wait. I asked the waiter when we were done, he said oh I'm sorry I forgot.
