The Ice Cream Place — Restaurant in East Missoula

I get one thing and one thing only when I come to the ice cream ace and it's for their AMAZING milkshakes. From what I've seen and had in the past, their food is great but when I'm driving by on a hot sunny day you can bet I'm gonna go have a milkshake from the ice cream place. Their prices are probably more than what my dad would want to pay but I'm not picky. The only thing that can be a little frustrating is that you have to stand and order your food like at a fast food place, but you're outside and totally exposed to the elements. Not bad or anything on a pleasant day but certainly not fun if it's cold or horribly hot out.

This place is also really popular with travelers and locals, and is usually almost always busy. Expect to wait for a few minutes after placing an order, because you might have to wait. However, if you get just one thing like a milkshake, they'll make it for you right then so you don't have to wait 15 minutes after a family of 10 just ordered their own restaurant's worth of food (this happened to me last time)

Service is always friendly, and the food is delicious, and reasonable prices too. Only drawback is that because the food is so good, the place is often packed at peak hours, like dinnertime on a friday night in the middle of the summer. Wait times can be long during busy times, like any popular place. Anyone giving a poor review just because it's popular, well... you need to remember that you are just as much a part of that problem as everyone else in line. Lines suck, that's not the fault of the business. If they could magically double their employees for a half hour rush, I'm sure they would, but that's not how...

Me and my family love going to this place to get milkshakes and burgers, it's somewhere we talk about going everytime we pass through this town. There was only one problem: there were SO MANY WASPS. Not only did they sting my mom twice while we were eating outside, but due to just trying to get them out of our food it caused my milkshake and my burger to fall on the ground, making me have to throw them away.
