If I could give this place 10 stars I would!!! I came here this week with my parents, and the service, atmosphere, and food were great and very affordable! I would especially recommend this place to those who have allergies. My mom is allergic to everything under the sun lol - so she needs food that hasn’t been marinated or premade so she knows there are no spices or oils that might cause her to have a reaction. This is hard to find in a restaurant and often people are not very understanding. But as soon as she told the server the server had a very “can do” attitude and told us they could make anything just from scratch without the spices and marinades etc. the manager also came out just in case since my mom wondered what was in the pasta and they let her know the ingredients which she was able to have and was very relieved that she could actually get something she wasn’t allergic to and that she would enjoy. The staff was very accommodating and attentive to our needs and didn’t make her feel bad or a burden which often is the case. This is very hard to find in a place to eat as it can be frustrating I’m sure for the staff to accommodate but everyone at Aldo’s was so kind and helpful it made it such a pleasant experience!!!! I can’t stress enough how kind the staff was! Now on to the food! I got the shrimp scampi and my dad got the chicken Aldos. It was amazing and full of flavor!!!!! Oh and the bread was like it was made by the gods! It was so fresh along with the oil and smelled divine! Honestly I could have just eaten the bread with the oil and I’d be in heaven. This is such a nice place to go to - for a date or something casual. and I will definitely be going back and recommending it to everyone. Thank you Aldos for making our experience...
Read moreThis was our first experience at Aldos. There are no online reservations so I called and left a message for a reservation for our party of 4. I never heard back and found out when we arrived that reservations are only for parties of 6 or more. A simple returned phone call to alert me to this as it's not listed on the website would have been appreciated. The gentleman at the outdoor check-in was pleasant and we were seated in about 20-25 minutes. The restaurant was crowded and the tables were packed very close together. Our server, Erick, was likewise pleasant and helpful. We started with the calamari appetizer, which was excellent. The bread that was brought to the table was delicious and was served with a fabulous garlic olive oil. Things unfortunately went downhill quickly with our entrees, however. The house salad and dressing were non-descript, although the ingredients were fresh. My wife enjoyed her Italian wedding soup. My veal marsala was awful. The veal itself was full of gristle and much less than enjoyable to eat (what I could eat) and was accompanied by very little marsala sauce. I found this extremely disappointing as I always look forward to excellent veal at an Italian restaurant. The accompanying angel hair pasta was again non-descript and I would be surprised if it was house-made. My wife found her chicken Aldo to be bland, although she did enjoy the accompanying broccolini. One of our dinner partners ordered the grouper special, which unfortunately arrived with a very small piece of fish. All in all this was a disappointing experience, much less than...
Read moreWe were disappointed we couldn’t make reservations for parties less 6 but we were fortunate enough to dine early enough not to wait for a table. Attentive staff and nice atmosphere. Obvious that a lot of regulars dine here often and are genuinely happy to be there. We started w/ the Italian wedding soup. Golden broth, w/ spinach and pearl pasta had us licking the bowl clean. I had the Chicken aldo w/ red peppers, mushrooms, artichokes in a pink pepper sauce over penne pasta. The runner who brought it offered to bring back freshly grated Parmesan and of course I took advantage of that. It was hot, appetizing and plentiful plate of deliciousness! My husband had a chicken dish in a broth like sauce while very good he was disappointed w/ his choice liking something heartier. But he blamed himself on his choice. Choosing to do dry January I asked if the bartender had any mocktails he could make. Our waiter came back and said no but I could have a Shirley temple if desired. I declined, disappointing. Sometimes I feel popular restaurants don’t bother to up their game, to add something new to their drink menus as why change if things are working as we’ve always done. I caution that thinking. Clientele changes, healthier choices, designated drivers, recovering alcoholics, people participating in dry January are not going away and should...
