Prairie Queen — Restaurant in East Prairie

We have dined in and carry out at PRAIRE QUEEN. Today we were in a hurry and got carry out at around 11:00am. We got two chicken dinners. As usual the amount of food was more than normal. The two pieces of chicken had one of the best tastes ever and had to be pan fried. Wow! The mashed potatoes were like my Mom use to make and the white cream gravy was exceptional. Not so much pepper in the gravy that you could not enjoy it. I can not even describe the green beans. I'll bet we will be watching for the day fried chicken is on the menu next and we will drive the 15 miles to East PRAIRE for the greatest comfort food...

The staff is friendly. The food is overpriced and ours was overcooked. The fries tasted like they had been cooked in well-used oil, and were overdone. Our waiting time was a bit long, in my opinion.
