Da Boathouse Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in East Side Township

This was our first time here, I like to stop at restaurants on the water. We had the walleye dinner which was very good, I do recommend that. I ordered sweet potatoe fries and was given the sidewinder fries (possibly because I merely asked what they were) and while they were good, it wasn't what I asked for. I also had to go find the server and ask for the salad that came with the dinner. The green beans that were served with the dinner were not just plain but seasoned perfectly and were great. We ordered drinks and the one that was brought to me (same server) was nothing like what we asked for. She did bring the correct drink and didn't charge for her mistake, so we were happy about that. There was a woman behind the bar that made a killer white Russian! All in all we would go back and recommend tgis place to others, just watch that your order is complete...

Arrived at a fairly full parking lot last Saturday night around 7:50pm. We easily found a parking spot and the 7 of us started to walk in. Before even a few of us got inside the door, the female server rudely yelled at us that it would be an hour in a half wait. Not a sorry, we're backed up tonight and it would be quite a while for our food, but something more akin to get the hell out of here, we don't want to deal with you kind of attitude!

What if we were there to drink at the bar? She assumed we wanted food. I get it if they were short staffed, but where's the MN nice? Her attitude guarantees we will avoid that place like the plague the next time we're up to the cabin. We ended up at Appledoorn's down the road for a good meal with good service too - this restaurant could learn a thing or...

There was six of us first we got there, and we were told we couldn’t sit at a table for eight because they have large groups that come in, and then we went and sat at a table for six and those tables really only sit for. So they let us go back over to the table of eight. Which sets six. We chose to order food and drinks. The drinks came tall and watered down very weak. The food tasted horrible. They had a fish special, the fish came cold. My shrimp was over done would not substitute soup for french fries. All the fish was full of bones even though the menu said it, I couldn’t believe how big the bones were in the fish by the time we got in and drove back to isle.
