Good Heavens BBQ & Bakery, LLC — Restaurant in East St. Louis

Okay so today I was craving BBQ. Not just any old BBQ, I wanted something flavorful, something smoky, something delicious. I wanted Good Heavens BBQ! So I took a detour on the way home and I ordered the pork steak dinner, extra side of potato salad, honey wings and fries for my daughter and peach cobbler🍑 for dessert. Initially, I wanted Carmel cake (I had it before and it was soooooooo good),but was informed that the customer before me had bought the last slice😲. Reluctantly,I ordered the peach cobbler. Let me tell you I was NOT disappointed!!! That cobbler was warm, rich, buttery, and all around delicious!! Now back to my BBQ dinner; the pork steak was tender, smoky and delicious! The sides ( mostaccioli, baked beans and potato salad) complemented the meat so well and could've been a meal within themselves. Lastly, the fried honey wings and fries were a hit for my 6 y/o daughter, who is usually picky about what she eats. I wish I could give them more stars because the service is exceptional, the portions are generous, prices are reasonable and the flavor is ON POINT!! Good Heavens BBQ and Bakery made my day, thank you and see y'all...

I'm from Chicago. I'm used to The Best bbq rib tips and hot links in the entire world from I57 bbq on 115th street. This place is ok for the rib tips. Reading the other reviews.. I don't care how these rib tips were cooked.. they were delicious and had a delicious smkoky bbq taste.. the presentation for rib tips were a little different than what I'm used to , as the ribs are jumbo (4 pieces) but the flavor is all there.. it's always scary trying new sauces.. the sauce is on point.. not nasty at all. I was disappointed in the mac and cheese.. taste like it was made with American cheese.. definitely not baked.. but that's their business. The baked beans did taste straight out of a can with no doctoring up, but I ate them.. the pork steak tasted exactly like the ribs. Potato salad and mostaccioli good. People and service...

Whew!!!!! Liiiiisteeeennn!!! There are no pictures because we tasted the food before we could snap it. And from the first tender tear, temptation took over. This may be the best BBQ I've had in a long time, and I've been frequenting another establishment for years. These folks done snatched away a loyal customer.

The catch is, they're ONLY open on Fridays! 😒 Every Friday we slide down to Good Heavens and they've never disappointed. But you have to get there early. They will sell out! Plus, I've been telling everyone I know about it like I discovered the place...
