The food at this place is your standard Chinese american food. Not the best, but okay. The staff however are so incredibly rude!
You call in an order, they take it but don't tell you when it will be ready or give you your total and the second they decide you're done placing your order they hang up the phone before you can even ask. This has happened every time I order.
This most recent visit was bar far the worst. I called and ordered broccoli in garlic sauce, showed up, they had made me chicken in curry sauce. The woman at the counter was obviously irritated that I wouldn't take the chicken in curry sauce. She kept asking if I was sure. I assured her, I am a vegetarian, there's no way I ordered chicken.
So then I had to sit and wait another ten minutes of my lunch break while they made what I ordered and when she brought it out she plopped it on the counter without making eye contact and said "ok" So I took it and said thank you and she ignored me.....
That was the final straw for me. I will just get my Chinese fix at one of the far superior...
Read moreAccording to everywhere I have lived and the entire internet, Chow mein means stir fried noodles, Chicken Chow mein is chicken with stir fry noodles. When I order it inLansing, Florida, California, even China town in Oakland California, I have always gotten it. Instead of just saying they don't serve it, they give you chicken with vegetables in some think Lo Mein style sauce with no noodles and then insist that is what Chow Mein is. Seriously, google it. (ç é˘ ) They want to argue it as well. Well, I am done. Just go to Hibachi Grill in Lansing or a place where they do not pretend to not understand you while they laugh at you. Maybe they only provide stir fry to people they know? Might be a fine place to go if you want whatever they serve you and you do not want stir fried noodles with veg and chicken. And no, I did not like the thick white cream sauce soup with veg and chicken that they gave me instead. ...
Read moreI and my father recently came in for a nostalgic trip, we used to be regulars to the restaurant before Covid. Upon arrival we noticed that same old green roof, we were excited. Once walking in the first thing I noticed was the walls and art. A sky blue with minimal art which didnât consist of any oriental beauty. My father being an Iraqi veteran wasnât given any sort of Asian beauty. He brought up that he was in Korea not too far from China. The astounding art was something he loved the most of his trips overseas. Based on the experiences he had before he was quite disappointed, he no longer wishes to return. Yet if you brought back an oriental atmosphere, maybe music, and a buffet; then heâd reconsider. Though dinner felt like we were in the mafiaâs private Chinese joint. I do hope you bring back the older look. Along with the hope we do end up back at your door. I must add the General Tsoâs...
