Unfortunately I have to give an extremely negative review. Not so much for the food (the food is decent while the pizzas are not particularly good). We showed up yesterday with the whole family asking for a table to the maitre D’ (a young brown-haired guy). I will start by saying that we rented a house inside Reynold’s and therefore we are not owners but we have a long term rental and we have eaten several times at the National Tavern without any problems. This time we were treated very badly and with condescension, in fact, they almost shouted at us because we had no right to be there. When we complained about the behavior, the guy went to talk to the Manager who apparently said that we could eat there “but it would be the last time”. The rules are the rules, as long as all the staff know them and they are applied with kindness. This was not the case! There will certainly not be any more problems because we will not go to eat anymore as we are about to return home to Italy where the staff is kinder and more...
Read morePublic beware: The Tavern does not seem to be open to the public, as hostess asked for member number upon arrival. Service was very prompt and lunch for 4 came out at a reasonable pace. I ordered the “staycation” drink, which to my understanding was a passion/other fruit margarita, but I was seemingly given a regular margarita, which was alright, but I probably wouldn’t have ordered a regular margarita and didn’t feel like making a fuss. I got the meatball sub which was excellent, unfortunately I got an allergy reaction to the dish (MSG) but it was fantastic and everyone else enjoyed their food. I got the side of fruit, and was hoping for a seemingly private restaurant to offer strawberries, blueberries, etc. but was left something to be desired by the honeydew and melon. I would reccomend this place overall, I just had a bad experience with...
Read moreGreat food, impeccable service, fun but loud and noisy atmosphere. Korean BBQ taco was delicious, but meat could have been more tender and tortilla should have been charred. Seemed like it came straight out of a bag. Date night pizza was perfection. Steak was excellent. Tuna tartare is more like poke, but excellent flavor. Red snapper tacos were great but came with a side of tostones (fried green plantains) that seemed out of place. They served no purpose without a dipping sauce like a garlic mojo. Wedge salad was surprisingly chopped, but tasted good. The bread pudding was one of the worst I ever had and would not order it again. The top was so dry and it was pieces of crust. It needs to be a soft even texture throughout. Excellent drinks. Don’t drink the tap water! And...
