Melody's Kitchen — Restaurant in Eddyville

Traveled from out of state for the drag races at Eddyville Raceway and found this gem of a restaurant called Melody's Kitchen. The minute we sat down at a table next to a husband, wife, and their mother, we felt welcomed. They told us all about the community. The wait staff was just as welcoming. Going on was a high school reunion with professional karaoke and people having fun. I had a jalepeno bacon cheeseburger that was outstanding. The french fries and buttermilk ranch dipping sauce was the best I have ever had. My friends had a bloody mary and philly cheesesteak. Everything was made from scratch and homemade. We were able to meet Melody and she even sent us back to the hotel with pork tenderloin and sides for the next day at the race track. Definitely a family vibe restaurant with the best homemade food. Melody's is a great small restaurant that will make you feel more like it's a family gathering in your kitchen than a dinner out! Complete with the small town atmosphere of Eddyville! When visiting for lunch I enjoyed their special of the day, fried bread taco salad. It was fresh, flavorful and it had all the fixings you could ask for. With a retro brick wall on one side and a beautiful love edge oak table in the other, the space has a unique feel all it's own, complete with jukebox in the back! With a great spread of appetizers, a good basic line up of entrees and a unique daily special, you should be find something to tickle your taste buds here. Such an awesome little restaurant! It is super clean and nice on the inside, and the food reflects. I ordered the steak Philly, and to my surprise it was ENORMOUS with real Philly steak and hearty vegetables covered in the perfect amount of cheese. The hoagie bun wasn’t overpowering, but was big and soft. I added bacon and jalapeños, and it’s some of the thickest bacon I’ve seen in a restaurant. The sandwich was incredible. I also ordered a side salad, and it was big enough for a light lunch in itself.
