Drive by here daily and heard it was awesome, but overall was disappointed as it didnât live up to the hype. The waitresses seemed grumpy and were very clearly trying to flip tables, which makes some sense as itâs often quite busy. No straws which is fine, but since we didnât know about it advance it was inconvenient for our toddler. I love the nostalgic vibes of wood and neon, kinda like eating in a cozy basement. The restaurant seemed to be pretty clean.
The food was the biggest letdown. Wife and I agree that they were the saltiest burgers weâve ever eaten. Seemed like it might be decent with half the amount of salt, but thatâs all we could taste. Decent size patty, especially the double, and 2 of 3 were cooked medium well. Toddlers burger was fully rare which was not ideal but she ate some of it. Fries were a quite small portion and were served cold, which was surprising given the volume this place does, and somehow less salty than the burger. Two doubles and one single plus two fries and 3 soft drinks ended up around $50, which is pricy for what we got. I had some expectations going in based on the reputation, and how usually places with small menus really nail what they do, however Lions Tap was a letdown. Culverâs is better quality...
Read moreThis was our first time here. Very limited menu. Burgers werenât very good at all. The fries were decent. For some reason we had 4 servers during our visit. Which they were all kind of pushy and seemed irritated because we were waiting on the menus (in case you didnât know like we didnât. Itâs on the napkin holder) because of that we needed some time before we ordered. When we did order they assumed our 2 year old wasnât getting food and we had to stop them from leaving our table to make sure we put her order in. One server started clearing our kids food before even asking when she had half a burger and a decent amount of fries left. Because of that my kid started to cry. Iâm equally to blame as i didnât specify how i wanted my burger, but i wasnât asked how i wanted it either like my husband and daughter was with their burgers. I went to take a bite and when i picked up my burger it had a puddle of blood on the plate. and the bun was SOAKED. Once we were done with everything they asked if i wanted it cook longer and i told them no because everything else is soaked in blood and everyone was already done eating.
All in all i do not recommend...
Read moreRude, rude, rude. The most rude staff around.
We were waiting to be seated and they would not seat the two of us until all four of our party were present. They then asked the two people behind us âhow manyâ they said âfourâ and were seated immediately even with only half of their party being present. Then they asked the single person how many? He said âoneâ and was seated at a table that supports four guests.
You have to wonder when this happens if it has anything to do with nationality of some of the members of our party. Why else would they treat us differently than the other guests? There was only one difference and you can fill in the blank.
The burgers are bland and flavorless. The buns are low quality. The fries were soggy and undercooked. Bacon portions were tiny. I marvel at how popular this place is. The food is simply not worth the price. And the staff are so rude.
This was our first and will be our last time visiting. We will certainly do our part in helping make them remain âfamousâ. Iâll be the first one to pipe up to share my terrible experience when someone asks if anyone has been to Lions tap. Or whether...
