Palmetto Seafood Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Edgefield

I have never took the time to write a review on any restaraunt, good or bad, but this experience was horrible!!! My fiance and I drove from Augusta because of all the good reviews and wanting to try something new. When we walked in, it took awhile for anyone to acknowledge us to let us know we could sit anywhere. There was only 2 tables occupied so it was pretty dead. The two tables we looked at were dirty and i politely asked for a rag to wipe off the table, which the waitress provided. We never received our fried crab leg appetizer, but she brought out our food, the food was good and hot so we didn't even worry about the appetizer anymore. My fiance was missing his tilapia so we asked about it and she said they were still working on it so we proceeded to eat...a few minutes later, she brings out a whole fish basket and says they made the whole basket and we could just have it. My fiance asked, are you sure this is my plate and she said yes... we proceeded to eat our dinner and 10 minutes later, the COOK comes out of the kitchen and says loudly, "he is eating his plate" pointing at my fiance. I explained what we were told and the COOK continues to talk loudly and says "so, you are just eating it?" I'm not sure if she wanted the half eaten plate back so she could give it to the other man or what... she returns to the kitchen and continues to talk loudly about my fiance eating the wrong plate that he was given, so the other customers are looking around...we just got up, left 30.00 worth of food, and still paid the bill on our way out...i have never had this unprofessional nonsense happen to me in all of my years of going out to eat. We will never spend anymore money at this...

Visit there last night for the R&B night the food was amazing. The event was amazing and full of energy. The waitress was not, we had waitress named Saniya who came the table and she told my took my drink order and brought a menu and that’s it. She never returned with a drink or anything. That was very unprofessional.Other waitresses need Kiki to our table maybe 35 minutes later to retake our order when she realized we was not being help. She took my drink order again. She got my drink straight to me and my food order and sent to my table in a timely fashion. She really made the process really smooth once she stepped in. Really...

Today was my first time visiting the Palmetto Seaford Bar and Grill in Johnston SC. The staff was awesome and very welcoming. I can’t say the same thing for the shrimp and grits. The presentation of the shrimp and grits was beautiful. However, the grits was loaded with butter and cheese and had no flavor or season. The shrimp was the same way no flavor or season, it was just plain steamed shrimp.. The bacon was over cooked. This item on the menu was not a good choice. I saw a lot of positive reviews about the food so I wanted to give this seafood restaurant a try. Needless to say I was very disappointed...
