Hat Creek Grill — Restaurant in Edgemont

Stopped here on a whim about 4 months ago while traveling though, and I was immediately impressed with the comfort and ease felt due to the atmosphere, staff, food, and high spirits. On my second visit, the owners and all patrons got into a discussion regarding whiskeys and bourbons and I suggested one they had not heard of before. It was ordered and stocked within a few weeks! They are in the process of expanding on their selections and being known as a well stocked bar extending beyond the "well" and catering to those who appreciate fine spirits. Great food, friendly smiling faces, and great service. The day we were there was a huge travel day for many people stopping at this small oasis town between Wyoming and the Black Hills so it was busy. Asked a local where we should eat dinner. He told us to go to the Hat Creek Grill. Best decision ever! We almost missed it, not a flashy exterior, but man what a gem! Waitress was attentive and friendly. Get the smoked wings, they're big and awesome! French dip 5 stars. Peach cobbler 5 stars. Smoked turkey sandwich 73 stars.
