Went for an early supper. We were the only ones there. Waitress was amazing, super friendly! The food & service was absolutely amazing! We had the loaded pork nachos as an appetizer, which we could only finish half of! We both had burgers which were done to absolute perfection! Very warm, welcoming environment. Busy place.We ate with friends. Ordered grilled shrimp and deep-fat fried cod with loaded baked potatoes. Kudos to the chef. Plated to perfection.

Our waitress and server was expected to wait on all the tables and booths. Short on help, she did her best to keep up. She definitely deserves a huge raise and huge tips.

We arrived late for lunch after fishing Fountain Springs.

Paula brought a ready smile and news of specials (Fish on a Hoagie or an Iowa Tenderloin with choice of 3 sides). We chose the fish (OH MY!) and Paula brought dessert (who knew).

So glad we stopped in for lunch; we’ll be back! Iowa City’s not...
