PUERTO VALLARTA — Restaurant in Effingham

We normally call in and place our order and the food is really good however tonight we decided to go in to eat. We were seated and I understand that they were busy...however we sat for 15 minutes and had many servers walk past our table, bring dishes out to tables right next to us...but not a single one stopped to take our order or even do a drink order. We were ignored! I will never go there to eat inside again. It was our first time trying to eat inside and the horrible service we got ruined it for me.

Update* it’s been 7 years since I posted my last review. Last night my husband and I both opted to go give them another try. Service wasn’t great, food did come fast though. I ordered my little the beef nachos from their children’s menu. Didn’t look like any cheese was on it- the ground beef looked like ground up cat food and there was liquid pooling at the bottom of the plate. Neither of our taco salads were impressive. Now today both my husband and our little have torn up stomachs. Will never eat here again. Sad cuz they used to be...

We are Full Time RVers and have traveled across the country four times. We love to try out different restaurants and one of our favorite is Mexican. Going by what the rating said this should a good one. This ended up being one of the worse Mexican restaurants we have ever had dinner in. The food had no taste and my combination of burrito with an enchilada was horrible. They both tasted the same except the enchilada had red sauce on top. The filling was like baby food or cat food, it was just a ground up mess of "I'm" guessing hamburger. This is in no way authentic Mexican cuisine. The people in this town must not have ever had true Mexican food. When I told our server, (who was of Mexican descent) that is in no way authentic Mexican food he said" I know I'm sorry". Wow!! First time here. The food was Great, the service was stellar and we will be back! My wonderful husband took me here for my birthday dinner. What a wonderful place to have a yummy Mexican meal. The food so so good, just the right amount of heat and not too salty like other Mexican restaurants I have been to. The options were so vast and I ordered the grilled shrimp dinner. It was so good and the shrimp were cooked just right. The portion was so big that I took half of it home with me. My husband opted for a HUGE burrito. I was impressed that he was able to eat it all. If you are in the mood for Mexican food, do your taste buds a favor and drive out of town a bit and eat here. So dang Good! I can't...
