I’ve only come to El Campo a handful of times, but everyone recommended this restaurant. I was excited to come and thought it was cute and had good ambiance. We were seated a little before 6:30pm in the bar area and our server was so nice and had good drinks and app recommendations. It took a while to be able to order things, which was surprising because it didn’t seem excessively busy. We placed our food order at 6:51pm, after 8pm we still hadn’t received it so we started asking about it because all of the tables near us, including tables seated well after us, had ordered, eaten, paid and left. We were the only table in that room left and our server was sweet and kept apologizing. Eventually, a “manager” comes over to speak to us. Honestly, I was expecting more of an apology than “I’m sorry you had a problem with the wait. Do you still want the food so I can tell the kitchen to make it?” Close to 8:30pm we decided to just take whatever they made to go and were extremely disappointed in the quality of the food. If I wanted greasy pasta, rubber shrimp, and a subpar experience I would have gone to the...
Read moreMy Wife and I waited for almost 2 hours for our entree, the server, which was the third server to talk to us, came to ask if we were ready for a check, at which point we informed them that we hadn't yet received our meals making sure to make it clear we had been waiting for nearly 2 hours, the server offered no apology, only the excuse that our order had some how been buried under a larger table's order and it would be out shortly, it is now 10 minutes later our lunch has taken way longer than we had time for so I asked for our food to go, even this was apparently a bit much to ask, seeing as my wife was missing the au jus for her French dip when we got home. In conclusion this was a less than pleasant experience, with the distinct exception of the chefs, who were the only memebers of staff to offer an apology for the situation and cooked some really very good food, which is why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1, I wish I had had the chance to eat the food then, instead of cold 3...
Read moreI was visiting EC today and my daughter and I decided to get a take out order from Greeks and I will not be going back ( at least for lunch) First off, it took 5 rings for someone to answer and when they did, the young lady on the phone was very rude. When my daughter went to pick up the order, no one was in front, not even the cook, she could hear lots of laughter in the back somewhere and finally a young lady came to the front, asked her to sign her receipt and walked off without even waiting to see that my daughter actually signed it. We were missing our salads in our order so my daughter waited for her to come back and no one ever did, so she left. I then called to see if there was a manager on duty and again with the 4 rings, a young lady let me know that there was not a manger there, hence the bad service. After speaking to others, called in lunch service is horrible!!! The food we did receive was...
