Been staying in El Paso for a week now and my dad offered to buy me some big yet delicious burritos. Came here and ordered 2 deshebrada burritos and 1 chicarrón burrito. The gentleman who took my order was pleasant and took only about 5 minutes to complete my order. Deshebrada was dry and tortilla was crispy. Not exactly what I was expecting. Downed this small sized burrito with a can of manzana soda. The chicharrón burrito didn’t fair better. All I could taste was tomato sauce. It greatly overpowered the chicarrón and all the other spices that are traditionally in this type of stew. Again tortilla was crispy. Into the trash it went. Not sure if this is the way they are supposed to be made here but living in San Francisco, I was eager to come to El Paso and eat a delicious burrito. I’ll stick with my mission-style burritos instead. Coming here despite my dad having previous good experiences, proved to be an extreme disappointment on this visit. Perhaps it was just an off day for them making good burritos...
Read moreI have no complaints about the food, it’s great! I feel the atmosphere is adequate and it’s pretty clean inside , we usually have a good time. So this is the part where I actually see an opportunity to improve. I have been through the dine in and through the drive-through, but I have the exact same customer service through both routes. Super slow service. Today I came to the drive-through and it took about five minutes for the people inside to acknowledge me even though I honked the horn twice after waiting 5 minutes. About Two minutes after the horn, someone came out and took my order, which was a burrito and a lemonade. Only reason I even come here is because it’s so conveniently close to where I live. Otherwise I would not come here due to the lack of urgency of the service. From the car I looked inside, and I saw five empty tables, so I do not think they were swamped with business at the moment . I just want to reiterate that the food is good but I had to wait 12 minutes to get my burrito...
Read moreReally good, simple, cheap burritos. Also the chile relleno burrito is the best I have ever had, it is great if you order it with beans, which means there are beans inside the burrito. The food comes with salsa while you wait that is very good and very spicy. The green is less spicy if you can't handle very spicy salsa. Most places if they have very spicy salsa, the very spicy salsa does not have that great of a flavor, but here the more spicy red salsa has an even better flavor than the green and it is very delicious. My only complaint is that even though I love very spicy food, the red salsa is actually a little too spicy, although if they changed it, it might not taste as good... P.S. They have lime, which you may want to put on the chips while eating them with the salsa and you also might enjoy it with some extra salt, not that they don't use enough salt or anything like that, just giving a tip for something to try...
