Good brunching at Nomel.
Another spot that's close to the homestead. We popped in, tried out a few brunch-trees.
They serve good coffee and Liz love the feel of the place. It was well lit, and the interior design of the furniture was functional and stylish.
Our server was nice and made sure to check on us. I didn't have to ask for refills on my warm morning beverage, and neither did the kids
I ordered Uno Chilaquiles, with red AND green sauce. It was not bad. The eggs were cooked to order and came out the way I asked. I enjoyed the green sauce better than the red. The beans at the bottom were pretty good too. Maybe add some crema drizzle to soften the acidic taste of the sauces. Plus I might add another protein...but the dish was plenty filling as it is.
My kids enjoyed their dishes. The cream cheese toast and 'chicken and waffles' were filling and tasty. My kids really enjoyed their plates.
I saw some other dis sbon their lunch menu that I would come back to try. Maybe try some of their morning cocktails.

Read moreWhat a pleasant surprise I must say. Went in thinking I wouldn't be wowed but boy was I wrong. Ordered the chicken and waffles. Let me tell you that chicken oh man it was perfectly seasoned and juicy! The waffles are different and they are good. The fruits they give you are a perfect addition not to mention the powdered sugar. I would prefer a different maple syrup but it gets the job done. Mind you one has the option to select agave, maple or honey.
They were out of the tomato soup and gave us the option of green chili something soup and it was good. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the grilled cheese sandwich. Don't get me wrong it was OK just not spectacular like the other items.
The service was a bit slow and food took a bit to cone out. Want to say like 30 to 40 min. Not sure if it's always like that. We got there before the rush FYI.
I will certainly be craving the chicken and waffles and hope they don't change that recipe cause...
Read moreI took my whole family for brunch with very high expectations, but we were extremely disappointed. The greeter at the front didn’t say much, only asked for how many the table would be for. After telling her, she got the utensils and menus and started walking away without saying I word. I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to follow her or she’d be getting the table ready for us and then calling us over. When she saw I wasn’t following her since I wasn’t sure, she looked over and gave a rude glance. We then followed her to the table and she said nothing else and left. After being seated, we still waited a while longer for a server to greet us. After ordering water initially, we waited a bit longer to get our cups of water. The server was inattentive and kept looking away when speaking to her. The food was just ok, nothing worth going back for, especially with the subpar customer service. First and...
