The Rabbit Hole — Restaurant in Elba

When I say this place is amazing, I mean it.

I went in the the expected reservations. Most vegan establishments miss the mark, despite their most earnest efforts. The Rabbit Hole is not that. I ordered 5 meals, and FINISHED 5 meals. The pasta was Al Dente, which is SO rare; pasta with texture. The "steak" melt sandwich was dreamy, the bread was delicious, the "steak" melt was wonderful, the deliciously cooked pepperoncini peppers. Just phenomenal. The "Shrimp" and Grits were positively delightful. The texture of the "shrimp", the quality of the fried breading was otherworldly; a deep & wonderful crunch. The grits were wonderfully delicious as well.

I could go on and on and on.

Would love to review the food but didn’t have the opportunity to. Drove to Elba to try this out. Hours marked as open until 9 PM - I even checked their Facebook page before leaving and didn’t see anything to indicate they weren’t operating as adversities. Drove all the way there, “open” sign is flashing but the doors are locked and no one comes to open.

Disappointed to say the least that their website and Facebook page weren’t up to date or that they didn’t shut off the open sign. I understand staffing shortages but at least keep your customers updated as to changes to regularly...

8 of us from FL and AL met at the Rabbit Hole on a Saturday for lunch. It was a beautiful day and we say outdoors. Everyone was pleased with the bill of fare. I had the BBQ sandwich with home made fries, which was an excellent choice. The Rabbit Hole had hosted a 200+ event the previous night. Staff were still recovering and replenishing supplies during our visit, or they would have a 5-star rating.

Elba is normally a quiet town. While we were there, several dozen bikers came in as a stop on their poker run. Not a problem. Motorcyclists ourselves, we were pleased...
