Jack's Spot — Restaurant in Eldred Township

Disappointed would be an understatement. During a time when family owned places need community help, we decided to have supper there. Sat at 5:50 and ordered shortly after. After finishing our second round of drinks, we asked if our food was coming. We were two family’s outside at the same table (nice atmosphere) and we were glad to finally get our cheesesteak rolls (very tasty). After a complete hour of waiting for our meal, we asked again if our food was coming. Well, my burger came out with my soup (suppose to be an app) and my husbands wings. Four other people had no food. No fries, no wings. No burger. No soup. (Soup is ladled out into a bowl. It takes two minutes.) Finally 1 hour and 15 minutes after sitting down we asked for the check and told them we didn’t want the food that never came. Management attempted to blame it on “the pandemic” and different tickets. If there is normally a one hour wait for food, the waitress should have informed us when we arrived or during the three times we asked about our food. Also, my fries and the fries for the other people go in the fryer together; doesn’t matter if they’re different tickets. The waitress should have marked our table and the cook should have seen we were all together. If they didn’t do that, you have some education to do with your staff. Finally, the grease cooks fries at the same temp and time regardless of Covid so let’s not make up stories. Just say someone screwed up and you’re sorry. Finally, the bags of food you brought out (that we didn’t want) were left to show you that we weren’t looking for free food, like you implied TWICE by telling us to take the meal (on you) and don’t come back. You are rude and I hope the owners read this review and let you know you were extremely inappropriate. There were 6 of us there that night so plan on seeing the disappointing review at least...

I do not understand why there are so many good reviews. They had a "steak tip" special, the steak was more fat than meat and was 100% not cooked to specification. Onions peppers and mushrooms included had ZERO flavor. The broccoli was cold, and all stems. My MiL ordered no mushrooms since she's allergic, they put mushrooms on and when she sent it back, the kitchen just scraped off the mushrooms, leaving several. The four people in my party got the same thing, had the same complaints. $23 a meal for garbage. The inside of the restaurant was FULL of flies, we were constantly shooing the flies away from our food. Waitstaff was slow, unresponsive and every waitress looked to be...

This is a great hidden gem. Out in basically the middle of nowhere, Jack's Spot is a fun place to spend an evening. The food is delicious (especially the wings) and the drinks are cold. Different specials on both the food and drink menu every week keep things fresh. Hanging out in the yard is great! There are picnic tables to eat at as well as cornhole boards and propane fire pits to sit at as you drink and watch the beautiful Pitman, PA sunset. They even have live music and karaoke out in the yard on occasion. Inside there is a dart board, pool table and multiple TVs to watch whatever game may be on at the time.
