Finally took the 8 mile ride to the Kunkletown Pub. The old farm house sits off Kunkletown Road, spacious interior decorated with eclectic wood furniture and chandeliers all add to charm. We started with a hand battered mushroom x 4 ($8) appetizer, 2 seafood combos ($25) included homemade crab cake, 3 shrimp & 3 scallops with stuffed baked potato and asparagus. French onion soup ($6), chicken bowtie minestrone ($3) and 2 side salads of Romaine, hard boiled egg, red onion, cherry tomatoes, croutons and topped with homemade HOT bacon dressing. ($3) Yum! The star of the kitchen is Gretchen, the chef/owner who prepped and prepared each course, lovingly. The star of the dining room are servers, Sherry and Nicole, whose service was on point, efficient and pleasant. I used to love this place and I've been there about 5 or 6 times since I've moved to Kunkletown about 1.5 years ago.

My Mom ordered the baked clams on 8/23 and she thought her taste was off because she recently finished chemo and radiation in March and that is a normal side effect. When I went to taste the baked clams, THEY WERE SO RANCID! Meanwhile, my Mom ate 3 of them.

She was so sick that she went to the hospital in NY the next day and had E Coli. She was hospitalized for 8 days. Her doctors definitely think it is because of the spoiled clams.

I'm writing this not to be nasty, but I hope they read this and improve their food practices. I don't even want to go in the restaurant because I will cry and get angry.

Spent a wonderful evening with a group of hikers at the Kunkletown Pub. Everyone ordered different meals and there was sharing. From burgers to dinner entrees, serving sizes were larger enough to satisfy hungry hikers. All fresh ingredients and food make fresh. Everything was customizable and meals delivered as ordered for everyone. The fajitas were delicious with steak rather than the normal fajita meat at most Mexican restaurants.
