Venice Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Elizabethton

Visit: Feb 13, 25. I have been wanting to try this place for two months now. I wanted a pizza, I always have to try the pizza. I ordered a veggie pizza, ended up with a venice pizza. I heard the woman that took my order say veggie pizza. What is really funny about this is the venice pizza was my second choice. I suppose she simply hit the wrong option on the system. The pizza was nice, I even had some leftover, and I can say it is good cold and it reheats well. Not all pizzas do that or are good cold. It looked like everything was hand prepped. Crust is good, and would be better with a seasoning option. I got the largest option and it was absolutely loaded. A little light on sauce, but as someone who has made my own pizzas, this is probably a tactical culinary choice, as a lot of sauce on a thin crust loaded with toppings can and will turn into a mess. I did some price comparisons and this is the cheapest place i am aware of for higher quality pizza.

We come eat there a lot, my husband and I. But we came with a some family friends Sunday and had an amazing experience. The manager that works there is so great. Our friends have never been there before and he was so knowledgeable about the menu and made their experience unforgettable. The party table was already taken and he tried to accommodate us the best he could for how busy it was. The food is always so great. You can tell they care about this place. The manager was running around like crazy and you can tell without him, this place would fall apart. It seems like he's always there whenever we decide to eat there. The manager is such a nice person and he got our friends to tell him they will be regulars at the restaurant as well. Stopped here for the first time last night after driving by for weeks and seeing a good crowd eating. So we thought we would give it a try. The food is excellent some on the best Italian I've eaten in Johnson city. It's better than the much more expensive restaurant downtown. The service is good but you can see they are still working on a few things. The decor and signage inside and out didn't scream Italian restaurant. But that doesn't matter if the food it great. It may help drive more business if people could recognize the type of restaurant.
