Simon's Catch — Restaurant in Elk City

Just what we wanted on our cross country journey! This is a local family owned restaurant and hidden gem off the highway through the fields nowhere near the busy interstate, but close enough to be worth the sidetrack. We ordered through the website a couple hours before we anticipated arriving. They had it ready to go upon our arrival. Ribeye cooked to perfection-was able to cut it with a plastic knife. SERIOUSLY! Fried catfish (we chose extra crispy) that was GLUTEN FREE! Homemade baked beans that were smokey, light tang, and bacon! Baked potatoes, coleslaw, hush puppies shaped like fingers. Desserts were a root beer float and a cheesecake slice topped with cherries and chocolate sauce. SLAMMING😍This place clearly takes pride in their food AND their country. (Americana proud decor inside) They did not forget anything we needed to dine in our hotel room efficiently. If we lived here we would be regulars for certain. We went to Simons Catch for a BD. I ordered the kc strip. My guys ordered fish. We waited and waited a bit more. The customers after us were being served but we thought maybe the steak was holding the meal up. When the absolutely wonderful waitress brought our meal she apologized for the wait. We assured her it's fine and definitely was not her fault. Then i tried to cut the steak. It was so dang tough i couldn't eat it. When our wonderful waitress ask how it was i told her. Next thing i know the hostess came over to tell us they took my steak off the bill. We thamked her. Then the owner and waitress came back apologized again. Offered us free dessert. The sweet waitress begged me to let her bring me some shrimp or anything at all. She kept saying i know u are hungry let me get u something. I will be back again and again. That kind of service is pretty unheard of these days. I just wish i remembered the girls name that took such...

This place is sooooo good. I never write reviews for places bUT I feel the need to share this place with the world. We recently moved to Oklahoma from Denver and I was really in the mood for some catfish. I found this place on a random Google search a d we decided to try it out, and boy were we happy we did. This place has amazing catfish you can tell that it is fresh and the all you can eat always comes out piping hot, the beans that came with it were also very very good. Everything was exelent we will definitely make this a regular go too place when we want so outstanding food.
