Dairy Kreem — Restaurant in Elkhart

Travelers beware!! We were driving through on a road trip back to the KC area, and had the unfortunate experience of trying to eat at Dairy Kreem. We (family of 5) ordered ahead on their website, even tipped them, showed up about 10 minutes later, waited in line to check in. When my husband told her we'd ordered online the clerk looked really surprised, but found our order, which again was prepaid and tipped. They hadn't started making it yet, they were kinda busy, so we waited... ... and waited... ... and waited... They kept telling my husband, you're next or it'll be right up, or it's almost done. After we waited for MORE than an HOUR (at which point they were not busy anymore) my husband asked for a refund and we left. One of the ladies behind the counter actually said to my husband "you're not from Elkhart, are you?" Well sweetheart, if you were curious and not judgemental, you'd know that both of us are from small towns/the country. But instead you refused to give us food that we had already paid for. So much for small town hospitality! Do not stop here if you're not from Elkhart. You'll experience small town...

The food is not good the nacho cheese tastes like melted sandwich cheese an the bacon didn’t even taste like bacon it tasted like stale old cooking oil when we got there ‘ there was only 2 people ahead of us we ordered an then a table of 10 came in an they got they’re food before us an the bathroom was dirty the place stinks like the food tastes the toilet paper roll is under the hand towels so when u grab a paper towel the toilet paper gets wet an the trash can is so close to the toilet paper it hangs in the trash we will not be returning also the waitress asked if the food was good an I told her it was awful an she said I’m sorry u didn’t enjoy ur food we paid full...

Best lil place to eat in Elkhart! The owners , the Barnett's are super friendly and kind and their employees are the same. The place is clean and efficient!
