I used to eat at John Boys BBQ when I was a teenager, nearly every week before me and my uncle would go to the race. I recently moved back up this way and was told by someone that they just wasn't that good since they had been sold. So, listening to that, I did not try them for nearly a year. But thank goodness I decided to try them one evening through DoorDash, and boy was my friend wrong!! They are maybe, in my opinion; BETTER! I have since eaten there several times, and I have not gotten one bad meal. One night after, I had left them a complement through DoorDash, and they sent me a slice of coconut pie with a wonderful message on the box. BBQs usually pride themselves in serving "the best beans". So, I don't know what's up with that. The second unexpected encounter was they don't take credit cards, learned at checkout.
