The LunchBox — Restaurant in Elko

The food is amazing and this is one of my favorite places to go for lunch. However, the last two times I’ve gone I’ve had less than great experiences. The first time the eggs had turned in the salad bar. No biggie except I had them covering my salad. I did tell them they had turned on my way out. I did not expect a refund, which is good because I wasn’t offered one. Today I went for tacos and they kept calling Catherine, which is not the name I gave them. After a while I went to the counter to check on my tacos and they were sitting there on the counter. I said are these for Heather? No, Catherine. I said “oh, well my name’s Heather but I did order tacos”. They basically said that yeah, they’ve been sitting there a while and we called Catherine, and here are your tacos. They were stone cold. Again, no apologies for getting the name wrong, no offer to re-fire the order so it was warm. They had been sitting probably 15 minutes or more. So, I had cold tacos for lunch. I hate to write a bad review, but there is definitely room for growth on making things right when they go wrong, which they inevitably will at some point. Too bad.

Absolutely love this place. Food and shakes are always amazing, customer service is always great. Haven't found anything I havent liked from there. The atmosphere is 4 stars because with it being in the college it's a very quiet environment and the hours are kind of wonky but I seen that they're now on doordash also!...
