Aggie's Hot Subs — Restaurant in Elm City

The first time my Husband and I visited we both ordered the chicken AND shrimp fried rice however, after leaving and heading home (which is approximately 22 minutes away from the restaurant) I felt the need to check our food. Low and behold, there was NO SHRIMP. I checked the receipt to see if we had been charged for shrimp and we were. Thus, causing us to turn around and head back. While in route to the restaurant I called and informed the Cashier about the issue and she was kind to us and told us to come back and the Chef would give them to us. Once we arrived back the Chef (Supervisor AND Owner) gave us the shrimp and also apologized and said that on our next visit she would give us the shrimp for FREE and asked me to write our names and numbers down on a piece of paper that SHE gave me. TODAY we decided to go back so we called to order take out and informed the Cashier who answered the phone out previous situation. She wasn't aware and allowed me to speak with the Owner. She tells me she DID NOT say that and she only said we could get EXTRA shrimp for free (not the shrimp that comes on the platter) AND only ONE OF US would get it NOT BOTH. I told her that was not the agreement and why would we drive this far for shrimp that only ONE of us would get the pleasure of PLUS have to pay for the shrimp that she guaranteed to us would be free? She said that shrimp is expensive and she can't afford to give away 2 portions and she also said if we didn't want the extra portion (FOR ONE PLATTER ONLY) that she would give us the $3 back. I told her that is ridiculous and a waste of a drive for us. This was VERY unprofessional and not a good luck as a Owner that doesn't keep her word AND do her best to keep her 1st time...

We have eaten there a lot over the years. The food was always great! Tonight changes it all! The owner forgot to cook an order of shrimp fried rice. She made it in about 2 minutes. When we got home the white rice was in big clumps. The steamed rice they use was not cooked on the grill with the other ingredients. In addition, a few pieces of bell pepper and burnt steak! Neither are supposed to be in the dish. When i told the owner she was rude saying she cooks that every day and it was right! When i took it back, she would not keep the lid open when u asked her to look at it. Then she said she works very hard and I’m the first person to complain. She also told me i should cook at home! The girl at the front is awesome and knows the customers. The owners attitude will make me get take out...

I used to love eating here and food was good however lately the employees are not that great and sometimes even seem lazy. They’re hours are not correct and you never know when they are open as well as them not answering the phone when you call to place orders despite them being open.
