I’ve visited this establishment three times. My last visit was off-putting, to say the very least. I will not be going again if the same person is working. The other two times, I was treated fine. Because I am still new to this business and don’t drink beer/ciders often, I like to be able to try a few before deciding on what to purchase, as many don’t interest me. There were 9 on tap. Last night, I asked to taste two, I purchased a glass of the second. A bit later, I asked to try another. The bartender was very hesitant and acted as if I bothered her while she was sitting down behind the counter. She rudely and with a very sarcastic tone, told me that would be my last taste as I’d already tasted half of them already. When half of 9 becomes 2, please let me know. But furthermore, if that is not allowable, there is a way to tell someone this, and this was done in front of other customers as if I was jokingly being made an example of. There is no signage that gave an indication this was not allowed, but that’s fine. I let her know I’m used to being able to sample when I’ve gone other places prior to purchasing. All in all, I truly felt unwelcome. I’ve never felt like that or been treated this way in ANY establishment. And this was absolutely...
Read morefive stars! Me and my husband Maxwell attended this establishment in Elon, NC, looking for some craft beer and wine for our anniversary night. We drive a 2013 Nissan, so used and old that the left window in the back won’t roll down. I struggle to get out the left passenger side door, my husband crambling to the side of the car, helping me out. I use a wheelchair, I’ve been paralyzed from the waist down since the navy enlisted me in Iraq in 2004, and struggle to do basic everyday things. The entrance to the establishment using the wheelchair ramp was so thoughtful, and I understand that the owners care for our well-being, and I will definitely return. The beer itself was so creamy and delectable, it was as if god himself hand crafted it. If you’re thinking about attending to grab something for a special occasion, or just to relax for an evening, Beer Republic is...
Read moreIf you want COVID with your beer, this is your place. I get that businesses have to stay afloat during the pandemic, but Beer Republic is making no effort to keep customers safe. Walk inside and you'll find yourself at a superspreader event: crowded, no ventilation, no masks (not even the staff). After the pandemic I'll probably be back, because they have a good selection of beers you won't find at other places & plenty of NC brands. But maybe I won't, because they've shown they don't care about the welfare of...
