Gus's Crab Shack — Restaurant in Elsinboro Township

If I could give this place a - star I would. Waited for our food for 2 hours. The waitress really didn't even check in to make sure our drinks were full, barely ever spoke to her. My husband went to the Owner after awhile and told him what happened. He offered us a free round of drinks but our bill was still 90+$, that's it. He said next time this happens, don't wait so long to let him know like he was blaming us. We watched him cater to the table next to us and gave them food left and right while we sat there with empty drinks. We were there to see the band. When I asked the waitress at the end for something she gave me an attitude. And the bartenders seemed like they were drinking on the job as well. would not recommend this place to anyone and will not be going back because I do not want to waste money...

My wife, our friends and I have been going to Gus’s Crab Shack for a few years now. Started only a few weeks after they opened! The crabs they serve are our favorite of any spot we visit here in Delaware! His bartenders and waitstaff are great, and they work under very busy conditions most nights, because Gus’s is the premier spot for live and local music all weekend long……as well as quality tribute bands from all around the country.

They’ve got a huge outdoor dining area with large tables, where we hang out eating, and listening to music. Outdoor bar/beer trailer too!

Love this place! Been coming here for the past several years now and it is always a great experience. My girlfriend is a Maryland girl and a picky eater and she always orders crabs, and you know how those Marylanders are about their crabs! So that's saying something for Gus's crabs. I usually order the Chesapeake fillet. A perfectly cooked fillet with lump crab meat in imperial sauce on top. It is an absolute culinary delight! And the frozen Dirty Banana drink is the perfect dessert! They make the best Dirty Banana I've ever had. They have live entertainment Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We often go to Gus's on Sunday afternoons and relax outside, eating, socializing and enjoying the live bands.
