Goodmorning, I ate at your fine Country Diner last night, late. Service was good, atmosphere was good, food was good. The hashbrown potatoes could use some improvement as to how they are grilled/fried. I have been drinking coffee ever since I was 5-6 years old. I am 64 at present. I have traveled extensively over 48 states and some in Canada and Newfoundland. I have tasted alot of bad coffee out there and fewer really good coffee. I observe the long lines of vehicles parked in line at many "Starbucks" around the country. Other human beings paying 5-6-7 dollars for a cup of their coffee that costs more than the Democrat Administrations Gas and Diesel prices per gallon. Know this; I am not your enemy,I am not here to hurt you or your business...No!...I hesitated to write this. Because I do not want to sound negative or hurt anyone. I wish only to suggest something that I think will actually help grow your business repeat customer base. May I suggest that you change your coffee brand/vendor? Perhaps you have one or two customers that have you convinced your coffee is good or even great. They lie, they do not know a good cup of coffee. Quit listening to them. The reason so many are willing to pay 5-6-7 dollars for a Starbucks cup of coffee is due to its "Flavor". Coffee is a hot beverage drink that actually helps enhance the flavor of the other foods you serve. And it is a "Flavor" many actually seek out when choosing where to eat. If your coffee is "great tasting" and has a "great flavor",customers tend to take notice and remember that. Which is why Starbucks gets repeat customers willing to pay such a high price for that flavor each day. So please take the time (all the time you need) ,and do your business a big favor, experiment with other coffee grinds, brands, vendors, purveyors, until you find a really great flavor of coffee. It will help grow your repeat customer base and customers will talk about it. God hears our prayers, but we really need to listen and act. I hope to get a really good cup of coffee here,in the future. Thank You. I wish to end this by saying,by all means, eat here. It is a great Country Diner. And they have plenty of Truck...
Read moreI first came across this little diner one evening after a bad outing at Denny's that had left us with two hours waiting in a booth for a diner that never came unfortunately. My family passed by it on our way back home and we decided to chance it. I hopped out ofothe car and poked my head into the diner to check the hours and realized it was about fifteen minutes before it closed. Defeated, I was about to get back into the car when the head waitress (forgive me but I've forgotten her name) tutted softly and ushered my family inside. She sat us down in a lovely booth and heard our ordeal as we ordered, assuring me we could take all the time we needed. I had never been treated as warmly or as sweetly as we were that evening and after a very brief fifteen minutes wait we were treated to some of the best homestyle cooking I've ever had. The food had a distinct feel about it that made you think about every great home cooked meal your grandmother made for you when you were a kid. I had nostalgia for cooking I had never eaten before. We politely left twenty minutes after closing with full bellies and warmed hearts. It's safe to say that this is the example of what an American diner should be and it has become a biweekly treat for our family. If you find yourself nearby this lovely little diner, I recommend you take a chance like we did and experience true country...
Read moreI've passed the sign on the interstate several times when I go to Idaho. Today a friend and I decided to stop in and check it out. We had to wait for a table which is fine. We were seated and the waitress came to take our order. I asked her "is the country steak a cubed steak or just a fried hamburger patty?" She said it's a cubed steak so that's what I ordered. She brings out our food and thats where it all went down hill. The "steak" was just a hamburger patty battered and fried. We didn't see her after that to tell her. Finally after we were done eating (I ate the potatoes, they were good) and mind you I had one bite of the "steak" She walked past and we got her attention. I told her "hey, this isn't a cubed steak, this a hamburger." Showed her where I had cut it, She rolled her eyes and said "well it's normally a cubed steak" shrugged her shoulders and walked away. Not a oh I'm sorry, not a oh let me get the manager, not even sorry about that, do you want one to go or I can take it off you bill, just an eyeroll and a shrug. I get it we aren't locals, but that was uncalled for. My friend said "man we got to go, we don't have time for this, ill just pay for it" Staff needs better training and they need to learn the menu. Also country steak IS a cubed steak, not...
