Hackensack Golf Club — Restaurant in Emerson

The country club , food , and overall venue is excellent ! The servers and bartenders are extremely hospitable , professional , attentive , and sweet ! However the bald man who’s kind of short , I think he’s the manager - as he was giving orders to the servers is a real douche ! He is so condescending ! My husband and I , along with many other guests overheard how he was communicating to the staff and we were quite taken back ! Beyond rude ! Also , at one point my husband asked how to get to the patio from where we were so we could take our daughter outside , and and rbis guy legit let out a HUGE sigh , and was like “ugggggggj I guess I could show you if you don’t want to ask anybody else ...” like ok guy .... you work in the hospitality industry .... you chose this job , onody forced you to take it and be miserable . Finally got there by making some assumptions. G maps routed me to a service "road" at the opposite side of the golf course, a little used narrow equipment road that was closed off with a gate. Had to judge how to go by the map showing me several blocks away from the main entrance. I actually had entered the exact address and yet it wanted me to use this closed equipment "road" to get to the main building from the rear of the property going through the fairways of the golf course. A great family club. Everyone has a good time here. The youth instruction and team experiences in swimming, tennis, paddle tennis and, oh yeah, golf are great. The staff is warm and caring.
