Let's just talk about Brittany. Best server we've ever had and I don't know her from Adam, but she ROCKS at her job.
I'm over the road for work so my boyfriend and I stopped in to Moonraker the night before Valentine's for a little date as I was planning to be gone on Valentine's. Brittany was our server.
We discovered Moonraker over a year ago and have had multiple servers. Most were decent, but not what I would consider "great." Always an issue of some sort. But we like the food, especially the onion rings and fried mushrooms so we'd stop in just for them if we're in the area.
Either way, Thursday we were blessed with Brittany! She wasn't overbearing, but kept our drinks full, always noticing without asking. She had our appetizers out in record time and it was THE BEST order we'd ever received from the kitchen so kudos to the kitchen staff that night (2/13 - 9 p.m.). They nailed it.
For dinner, I had a chef salad. Let's just say, HUGE bang for your buck. The salad was so massive I nearly died trying to eat half of it. Delicious, too. It was made perfectly to my request (no tomato) and I asked to add black olives. The kitchen forgot, but Brittany didn't and no sooner than she sat it down did she return to the kitchen to get me some! That's excellent service.
My boyfriend had a sandwich that had chipotle mayo on it. I cannot remember the specific sandwich name, but that chipotle mayo was something I would never traditionally try. However, it was Heavenly. I wanted to bottle it up to eat at home on my turkey sandwiches! He loved the sandwich, too.
When it was time to leave, I asked Brittany for a lid to the ranch cup for our leftovers. Let me just tell you how observant she was... She not only came out with a lid, but also with an extra cup and lid because she thought the cup on the table was too full and would overflow making a mess while trying to put a lid on it so she gave us an extra cup to split it up. HELLO GOING THE EXTRA MILE. 👏 👏 👏
Bar none, best service and best food ever at Moonraker. We always come back, but there was always minor issues with our meals and service until Thursday.
Brittany and the kitchen were on fire. 🔥 For the best service, I'll always ask for her moving forward. She really knocked it out of the park and I hope management recognizes her for such as this is such a hard industry! Kudos to her for being perfect at her craft/job and for the attention to detail. We really appreciated her and she made our date night even better. A great meal with great service is always icing on the cake!

Read moreUpdate from our experience from last night 7/15/2023 between 530 pm and 700 pm We sat outside facing the water last night, we loved the scenery and the view. Our drinks were cold after a long days work, my girlfriends meal was satisfactory and how she ordered it. My meal was hot ( all of it ) The problem I experienced last night was an overcharge on the meatloaf dinner, the menu said one price the bill said another I brought it up to our waitress Johnna who had no idea and really was no help except for saying the bill was correct I asked her to check into it so she went to ask someone, after a half hour ( UNACCEPTABLE ) she returned with a new bill saying no one can explain this ( must be that price is going up but not reflected on the menu yet ) but here is a bill with the price difference. No apologies for it being wrong price or for taking so long to get this figured out. I want to owner to know we go here about 2 or 3 times a week and spend an average of 75 bucks per visit so this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth for how it was handled, mistakes do happen we are all human it was a simple fix and a small gesture of apology would have made this evening a lot better.
We went there Saturday night 5/14/2022 between 630 and 830 pm. We called ahead and got reservations for outside, walked in and seated fairly quickly. ( SO MAKE.RESERVATIONS, IT SAVES TIME ). Our Waitress came to get our drink orders and it took a bit of time to get them to us as they were busy or understaffed or new people. When she came back with the drinks she said ill be back in a few minutes to get your order it took a long time for her to come back but here is when I get frustrated she went to the table next to us to get their orders and she knew them and one guy worked there years ago. So more time passed before she came back to get our order. We got our food it was good and presented nicely. The rest of the night it seemed like it took out Waitress a long time to check on us or get us what we had asked for, as the night went less and less people inside and it still took her longer than we feel it should have. Overall all it was a great experience and we both loved the atmosphere and being on the deck was AWESOME and it was cozy and very inviting. We will be back next time we are out for dinner. Read moreMy husband and I had our first date at moonrakers 14 years ago. Today we went back to reminisce and have a nice meal. What a mistake! We live some miles away and this was our first opportunity. When we first walked in we noticed all the changes that were made, and was pleased that they had made some improvements. When we ordered our food our server was very pleasant. When out food came my husbands burger was cut in 4 quarters. He did not care for this and when our server asked if everything was ok my husband suggested that they should put on the menu that the sandwich would be cut in pieces. The server said that she has never had any complaints before and asked if he would like something else. My husband said no the sandwich was fine but they should let people know how the food was served. Not long after that she came back and told us she talked to the owner and he said they have always served them that way. This is after we said it was fine. It was like she took it personally. Then after a while I over heard her talking about us to the bartender. I was like ok no tip for her but continued my meal. A little later another server came in and she was talking about us to her. By then no one at the bar was talking any longer and we became very uncomfortable. I told my husband to just get the check and lets go, but our server was nowhere to be seen. After a bit she came out and we had to ask for our check at the bar. We paid what we were charged and walked out the door. Before we could get in our truck our server named Ashley came out yelling asking us what she did wrong and why we didn’t give her a tip. She continued telling us how much she made and she relied on tips as part of her income. My husband just shut the door not knowing what she would do next. I am 45 years old and have never seen anything like this. I understand most servers rely on tips. BUT YOU HAVE TO TREAT COSTMERS WITH RESPECT TO GET ONE.
