Buona Vita, a hidden gem tucked away on the ocean, proved to be the perfect setting for a romantic evening with my enchanting fiancé. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with warm smiles and an ambiance that set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. Allow me to take you on a journey through the delightful culinary delights we savored at this extraordinary Italian restaurant.
To kickstart our evening, we indulged in a glass of BYOB red wine. Bursting with fruity notes and a touch of blackberry, each sip transported us to the picturesque vineyards of Italy. It was the perfect accompaniment to our adventure-filled evening.
As we settled into our window table, overlooking the vast Atlantic Ocean, our anticipation grew. The first bite of the calamari was nothing short of divine. Fresh, succulent, and lightly breaded, it seemed as though it had been plucked straight from the ocean outside our window. The zesty citrus aromas from the lemon provided a refreshing burst, while the bed of arugula added a delightful twist. We couldn't help but marvel at the culinary magic happening before us.
Next up was the Branzino fish, a culinary masterpiece that effortlessly embodied the essence of summer. Delicately prepared and served with a white wine reduction, it showcased the restaurant's commitment to quality and freshness. The accompanying handcrafted angel hair pasta and artichoke hearts added a harmonious symphony of flavors to this exquisite dish.
Celebrating the Fourth of July with such culinary artistry and my beloved fiancé by my side felt like a dream come true.
One cannot visit Buona Vita without indulging in their handmade penne. Cooked to perfection, each bite revealed a sublime al dente texture that was a testament to their culinary expertise. The rich and creamy vodka sauce gracefully coated the penne, creating a heavenly union of flavors that left us craving for more. It was an indulgence worth savoring, just like the company of my perfect fiancée.
And then, there was the grand finale—the lemon cello cake. For a lover of lemons like myself, it was a slice of paradise. The creamy filling combined with the light and fluffy cake texture sent shivers down my spine. It was an ethereal experience that tempted me to ask for another slice, but instead, I chose to revel in the moment. I raised an extra glass of wine, toasting to love and to the incredible glow emanating from my radiant fiancée. She truly lit up the entire restaurant, a beacon of beauty and joy.
Buona Vita is more than just a restaurant; it's a culinary haven that captures the essence of romance and culinary excellence. Each dish, from the fruity red wine to the captivating calamari, the sumptuous Branzino fish to the irresistible handmade penne, and the unforgettable lemon cello cake, spoke volumes about the passion and dedication of the...
Read moreThe food is okay. The service on the other hand is ridiculous and let me tell you I’ve worked at a restaurant my whole life. I called and ordered a chicken francaise and they gave me a chicken Marsala instead. I call back to tell them that and an older lady (one of the servers) this was a Tuesday night tells me I need to bring the food back so they can make me a new one. She clearly thought I was lying and wanted free food. LOL. I don’t need anything free but if anything you SHOULD make me a whole new dish for free and apologize. I didn’t even get an apology. I told her to look at the receipt and oh there it was! Right then she knew I was not lying and changed her entire attitude. Before you start being completely unprofessional and giving someone attitude over the phone you should probably check the order first and see how YOU MESSED UP. There is so much more to this but I’ll try to keep it short. Get it together and respect your customers a tad more. WE are the ones that bring in money. Very disgusted with the attitude. If you don’t like your job, leave and get...
Read moreMy 8 year old and I thoroughly enjoyed everything from being greeted outside by a waitress who shared the view of the sunset with us (our favorite pasttime) with a smile, attentive and quick service, accommodating our requests, crayons and coloring mat (obvi. a necessity!), delicious food, and a complete goodbye from all the waitresses as my son didn't want to leave without saying goodbye.
His only complaint was the bathroom. (For the record, it was clean, and did have excess supplies and room spray, soap, paper towels, etc.). He, however, felt there were bugs on the floor and a camera watching him... So, to clarify, it was just an older tile floor that could use some tlc around the toilets, and the flashing light between the toilets on the wall... I guess it is kinda creepy and random tbh...
Overall, it was a memorable evening and we will be back next week to try more of this hidden gem, off the main road, family friendly, inviting restaurant menu.
Kudos to the staff for pleasing my 8...
