Lipinski’s Tavern — Restaurant in Englewood

BEWARE DINING HERE & BE SURE TO DOUBLE CHECK YOUR RECEIPT!

It’s clear Lipinskis Tavern does not value customer service. Last week, I dined there with a group of 12–15 people and stayed for the comedy show. The next day, while balancing my checkbook, I noticed that when my debit card cleared the bank, the tip amount was much higher than what I had left — and I had already left a generous 25% tip.

I contacted the owner about the discrepancy. She confirmed that there was an overcharge on my tip receipt and agreed to refund only the overcharged tip. Then she ghosted me. Wait… what?!

If the goal was to keep a customer satisfied after such an incident, shame on Lipinskis for not crediting the entire bill for the apparent “mistake” that was made!!

I asked her 3 times for a copy of the original receipt with my signature without a response from her. So my advice is BUYER BEWARE if you go there, check your receipts carefully.

Wow! Came in on their grand opening day, and it met all our expectations and more. We had drinks at the bar with Cassidy, the drinks were good, the service was even better! After a quick drink at the bar, we got a table. Our server, Nicole, was amazing. She made our experience even better. The food was superb. We had the Ahi Tuna appetizer, which was cooked perfectly and was very flavorful. For dinner, we had the pierogis and filet bacon. Pierogis tasted like what my grandma made, brought me back to my childhood. The filet bacon was cooked perfectly and had an amazing flavor. Highly recommend! Ok all, I went to Lipinski's and let me tell you, I Loved the atmosphere of the place, with the vines and the lighting, very inviting and amazing place to dine, and then I peaked in the back and they have another part they call the Rabbit hole that is just absolutely amazing with teak wood and golden rabbits decorating a beautiful bar, and even a grand piano! And let me say some of the best service I have ever Had! Our waitress was Nicole and let me tell you, she was absolutely the Best! Professionalism at it's best by making us feel warm and welcomed, giving me options and knowing the menus, and really making sure we had what we needed.
